My NUT and Poet Kelly have ingrained in my mind protein first and  good Vegetables second.  I know if I do this I will win and won't need fad diets.  We're all human and make mistakes, I hope you get back on track and lose the weight you need to lose.  Stay away from those evil carbs.  That is what is slowly killing me pre-surgery.

Jeremiah 29:11 " For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end".

I don't necessarily think we need to eat the protein first, just that it needs to be our first priority.  If I know that I am going to eat some Greek yogurt and some fruit and I eat the fruit first and the yogurt second, I'm still getting the protein even though I didn't eat it first.  However, if I am not sure I will be able to eat both, then I should eat the yogurt first to make sure I get the protein in, and eat the fruit second if I still have room.

I sometimes have entire meals that are not very high in protein.  I don't eat meat, and often when I go out to dinner, I get an entree salad and ask them to leave the chicken off.  (Or I ask for the chicken on the side and then my service dog gets it when we leave the restaurant.)  Anyway, I don't get much protein in that salad.  I make sure I make up for it later in the day, though.  If that's what I have for dinner, I'll probably do a protein shake for my bedtime snack.

Don't underestimate the psychological aspect of this fad diet.  All it does is reinforce the same diet-deprivation-regain cycle that kept all of us obese for so many years.  Diets and the dieting mentality simply do not work, and that is what you are reinforcing.

Going back to basics with measuring small portions of dense protein and very limited carbs will accomplish everything that pouch "test" will, but will reinforce the healthy eating habits that you need to maintain your weight loss long term.

Your choice, of course.
