You are too late for that breathtakingly fast ride that occurs immediately after RNY. The first six months are a real speedride if you stick faithfully to the plan.
Then the food you eat malabsorbs and the weight effortlessly and rapidly falls off of your body.
At over ten months the malabsorption is less, so to lose more weight the calories in also have to less and the calories burned have to be more. You probably still have about another year left of malabsorption so take advantage of that advantage.
If you set your mind to losing as much as possible during the next year, you will easily be at your normal BMI.
Of course you can hit your goal, or exceed your goal or do anything you want to do with your weight. I started at 283.5 before surgery, was 272 the day of surgery and at 1 year out was 178, it took me another year and a half to get to 138 which was my ultimate goal. I malabsorbed until I was 4 years out, I know this because I was eating the same but started to gain. Which caught me by surprise and pissed me off but made me realize I was just like everyone else and that regain is possible, you just have to work at keeping it off. I do and I have and at nearly 9 years out I am below my goal and maintaining here.
