Jan 11th made 6month post op for me. I've lost somewhere around 92 lbs since surgery, 135 total. This whole thing has gone super smooth, had a few stalls that I got through. I eat really clean, no rice, bread, chips, crackers, or anything like that. I watch my sugar intake closely. I feel like ever since the holidays I'm fell off the bandwagon. I am not eating bad things and I'm at about 800-1000 calories but I feel like I'm constantly snacking on cheese and things such as that. I have been at a stand still since the beginning of the month which I was fine with. I have been staying off of the scale and this morning I got on it to see if maybe the stall passed and I was up about 7 lbs on the scale. I was very active in the gym before the holidays and I've been slacking there as well. Any advice on how to jump start my weightloss instead of gaining? I'm kind of upset about this and very disappointed. Any help is appreciated! Thank you

Are you weighing or measuring your portions and tracking every bite? Maybe you are eating more than you think. How do your clothes fit?? Have you eaten more salt lately? Does your scale need a new battery??

I'm over 5 years out. I have noticed in the winter I tend to be up about 3 pounds despite doing all of the above. For me, I think my body holds on to a few pounds in the winter and then I lose them in the spring.

Hang in there.

I do measure most of the time but I'm not sure how much I should be taking in. I haven't seen my nut since I was 3 months out. I have been at a steady weight until this past week the scale shot up

When people say they "feel like" they are constantly snacking, I get a little confused.  Constantly snacking is not a feeling.  It's a behavior.  Either you are doing it or you are not.  So I guess the first thing I suggest is that you find out if you are constantly snacking or not.  You say you're at about 800 to 1000 calories, so I assume you are tracking your food?  Maybe try writing down the time you eat something as well as what you eat so that you can figure out if you're eating too often or not.

Stalls are common about six months out.  In fact, I did not lose anything my whole sixth month.  And then I went on to lose quite a bit more.

If you haven't been exercising much since the holidays, well, I can sure understand that!   But that may be contributing to the stall or to weight loss slowing down now.  What was going on before that made it easier for you to go to the gym?  Was it hard to get started going to the gym in the beginning?  How did you motivate yourself to do it then?  See, if you look at what allowed you to be successful with something before, that's often the same thing that will work for you again now.

As far as snacking goes, what works best for me is not to have snacky stuff in the house.  Even better is having a kitchen full of yummy and healthy stuff.
