Anybody else watching this?

Penny is so sweet... But is she in the right mind frame? Is her enabling husband going to help her, or hurt her by helping?

Oh, yeah, frying wontons is SO much better than ordering out...

OK, now, she is really ******g me off.  Whining about where her "yellow brick road" is after she has refused to get out of bed or even do in bed exercises, and has been eating fried wontons, ice cream, potatoes, etc..   But she is "never going to give up".  Give me a freaking break!  What she means is that she is never going to give up eating whatever the hell she wants and crying and blaming someone else for her weight.  As much as I don't care for this doctor, at least he wasn't fooled by the tears.

I watched both episodes last week and am watching his one tonight.  I have lost a LOT of respect for this surgeon (although obviously his surgical skills are quite good to be able to do lap surgery on 600-pound patients).

Last week he spewed the "soda will stretch your pouch" bull****  This week he said a BMI of 40+ is SMO (which I have always seen/heard as 50+), he did a sleeve on someone with a BMI of 80-something (I'm sorry, but that screams for some type of malabsorption) and -- most importantly -- he has not had ANY of these women undergo any kind of psych eval before he does the surgery on them!  Someone who is 600 pounds and bedridden absolutely needs a psych eval, including an evaluation of their support system.

This woman and her husband were not ready for WLS. Both are in huge denial!

Would certainly agree with the need for psyche eval... These people soooooo need intervention.
