hypothroidism

 I startd taking meds about 10 years ago because I put on so much weight my thyroid is underactive and I take 125 mg levothyroxine. Do we ever get off thyroid medication ?

No you will most likely be on thyroid meds for the rest of your life. Your dose may change so your Dr should check it when he runs labs. 

I am still on it.  Haven't had labs in a few months.  I will find out next month.  When I went in for surgery the dietician told me that my thyroid level was low (and that was with my med!).  So who knows
