Hey DcGirl!!!

Girl it happens all the time! I mean you would think I had something living in my pouch. It happens at the wrong times! LOL especially, if I'm using the restroom, people look at me like i blew the toilet up. Lol smh if I'm in meetings. People think I have stomach issues or I'm starving. I sometimes find it funny.

Hmm, I don't think Petunia (my pouch) has ever talked to me. I read a lot about noises and gurgles and such, but I have not experienced that. I wonder why some pouches are more "verbal" than others.

I have embarrassed myself before when receiving a massage...involuntary moaning because it felt so damn good!

Would you mind sharing your recipe for your egg bites? I'm always looking for new quick breakfasts!

Sure, Katie!

I am OBSESSED with egg bites.  I sleep every possible second in the morning I can, so I need something I can grab while running out the door.  I bought a muffin tin that has 24 mini muffins and I make egg bites every Sunday and then bag them up - some go in the freezer (maybe 9 of the 24) and the rest in baggies in the fridge.  The blog The World According to Eggface has amazing recipes but I am not great at following recipes so I sort of add in whatever I have in the fridge and sounds good.

Some I made a few weeks ago: Chop shallots and saute them in some Pam on the stove.  Cook up some bacon (or could be turkey bacon).  In a bowl, mix the cooled chopped cooked bacon and cooked shallots with egg whites (I buy the carton of egg beaters).  Spoon them to the top of the little muffin tins.  Add a small dollop of goat cheese onto each one.  Bake for 30 minutes at 350.

Today's egg bites, I took advantage of the fact that I was chopping red peppers, green peppers, and onions for turkey chili.  So I sauteed those peppers and onions in Pam, put them in a bowl and chopped up some shaved Boar's Head lunch meat turkey, added 1/4 cup of shredded lite Mexican cheese, and egg whites.  I also threw in some red hot pepper flakes and garlic salt.  Bake for 30 minutes at 350.

In two weeks I am hosting a brunch for some friends and I bought a vacuum sealed container of fresh crab meat.  I am going to cook that up along with the tiny chopped green and red peppers and shallots (I bagged them earlier and will freeze them for 2 weeks), and then mix it with egg whites and pepperjack cheese.  I think everyone will like them!

It's really any protein and veggies and egg whites, into 24 little crustless quiches!  I prefer egg whites to keep the calories down.  Others prefer eggs.  It's all a matter of your plan and your preference.

Let me know if you make these and how they turn out!

"Mr. Pouchy" (unoriginal, I know :D ) loves to talk after lunch. I'll be rooming a patient, listening for blood pressure and there he goes, making all kinds of noise. I once had a nice little elderly patient offer me some snacks from her purse.

Dorkgirl, that's how my massage therapist was!  Like, "Do you need something to drink?", "Are you sure you don't want some water?", "Can I get you anything?".  Weirdly I had just had a shake so I don't know why Mr. Pouchy was so riled up lol.

I love that others have experienced this, and I also love that you have named your pouches :)  I am gonna have to give that some thought.  Kenyatta, I think I did sound starving.  I mean, whose stomach talks for an hour straight?!  Ya'all made me glad that it was just pouch talking and not farting that I was dealing with lol.  I've never even thought about that possibility!
