What's on the menu today, RNY-ers?
Yes I've been blessed. I advanced to pase3 of my food plan yesterday. It's wonderful. I was missing veggies!
11 Months out on the 13th
Breakfast: 1 egg scrambled, 1 peice turkey bacon, coffee with 2 tbsp almond joy creamer
Snack: Strawberry Peanut butter protein shake (30g)
Lunch: salad, 1 oz ham, 1 oz turkey, 1/2 slice reduced fat provolone, cherry tomatoes, and sunflower seeds, 2 tbsp balsamic vinegarette
Snack: not sure yet, maybe a banana
Dinner: Mediteranean Chicken Kabob Salad, it's chicken marinated in lemon and garlic and oregano, served ontop of a salad of tomato, cucumber, red onion and parsley in a balsamic vinegar/ lemon juice dressing, tzatsiki sauce (Homemade) and feta cheese. I serve it with whole grain pitas for my husband. This is one of our absolute favorite meals
Exercise: Ran 3.25 miles
I actually don't use any protein powder, after the first couple of weeks it started making me really nauseaus (sp?) here's my recipe, I chuck it all in my single serve ninja blender
1 cup frozen strawberries
1/2 cup milk
3 tbsp sugar free Torani syrup, I prefer vanilla
1 tbsp peanut butter
1 cup 0% Fage Greek yogurt
Emily, since your posts have inspired me to try Shelly's (Eggface's) "bites" recipes, I decided I should post here to thank you!
Time since surgery: 7 weeks today
B: 3 oz tuna with slightly less than 1tbsp mayonnaise
L: 3 mini egg bites with onion, sundried tomato, deli turkey, and Italian 3 cheese blend
S: Jello SF dark chocolate pudding (I know, 13 carbs, but it satisfies my chocolate cravings)
D: Chicken piccata (with extra capers!)
Exercise: 30 minutes treadmill this morning, will do another 30 minutes tonight
Vitamins: On track. I need to pick up a prescription for some slow-release iron my doctor's office called in for me this morning after my bloodwork last week
Water: 60 ounces in so far, pushing fluids hard today as I've been kind of lax about it in the past and I think it's slowing up my weight loss.
Wishing you the best results possible re: your bad news.

Thanks for the well wishes, Pam! It's my moms health, and she is so slim and healthy...it really hammers home how important being healthy is when you see someone who takes care of herself have a health problem :(
i am so glad you like the egg bites! They are so easy and so portable and so delicious! I'm addicted!
Crazy day, with more snow. I have three driveways to do, so ride around with my snowblower and shovels.
Breakfast - ribeye (it is on sale this week!)
Lunch - quarter pounder with cheese, no bun
Dinner - probably ham and cheese sandwich
Snacks - two quest bars, one ounce of cheddar cheese
It's the first time I stopped at McDonalds in a dog's age. In fact, I went by one that had closed. When did that happen? McDonalds going out of business is a sure sign of the apocalypse.
