I have never been much of a burper....until after surgery!  Usually it isn't crazy loud, but still audible.  And yes to me it often feels like letting off pressure.  May be TMI, but on the other hand, I don't pass much gas now the other direction.  Not sure if it is something about our new anatomy that redirects all that!

OMG i thought I would never stop having the same issue, drove me crazy! In fact for me i think it went of for a couple of months. But one day it just seemed to fade and I noticed I wasnt having the issue anymore. I do still burp more than I think I did pre surgery, but it definitely has improved. I also hiccupped after meals too a LOT in the beginning, that too faded and now only happens on occassion like any other person.

I'm about two years out and whenever I lay down my throat makes burp sounds for at least a couple of minutes.

I totally did at the beginning - and I had "fanny burps" too.  Thinks have settle down mostly - still have them but have found if I eat slower it reduces both dramatically.
