I'm taking the BA which is a blend of Ferronyl carbonyl iron and ferrous fumarate. I can't find info re if that's constipating.

Good idea re upping the fat - not that I need much encouragement for that!

And if I have a nice smooth glossy coat I'll be the envy of all the girls!

I had surgery about the same time you did (12/16/13); initially had diarrhea, but when things slowed down, wow did they slow down. I needed a dose of milk of Magnesium that started things moving again and I have been taking miralax/fiber since. I took the MOM at night and the next morning things got much better! I'm sure things will start moving along for you. I also found that I needed to up my fat intake just a bit; it seems to keep things flowing smoothly.  It's all frustrating but still way worth the hassles. Take care

I know it's just this nastiness I'm going through right now, but am questioning whether or not I did make the right decision for WLS.  I'm just a little freaked out - I feel like I have so many things wrong with me these days.  And I can trace all of them back to my weight.  This is a hell I wouldn't wish on anyone.

You are doing the right thing taking this seriously. My husband didn't know he had it until his first bout sent him to the ER, and his second bout just a few months later landed him in the hospital for a week with a perforated intestine and infection. A few months later they did a colon resection to take out the badly damaged parts.  He's fine now but you should spare yourself that nightmare any way you can.  Best of luck!

I don't know much about diverticulitis, but before surgery I took 1 colace (generic) every day to keep stools soft, and now I take 2. Works great for me for maintenance. Good luck!
