3 days post op question. Please help!!
Your doctor has seen how many incisions? thousands, probably? If he or she didn't seem concerned, I'm sure it's fine.
Please note: I AM NOT A DOCTOR. If you want medical advice, talk to your doctor. Whatever I post, there is probably some surgeon or other health care provider somewhere that disagrees with me. If you want to know what your surgeon thinks, then ask him or her. Check out my blog.
Same thing happened to me. My doc said that it does happen and not uncommon. She said that the internal stitches pull in and that causes the "caving in". She said I could gently massage the area, this was at my 2 week appt, and that may help. I am now 3 months and 1 week post op and the area is not caved in anymore.
^^^ What they all said.
I had a dent (for lack of a better description) around the left trocar site. That was were they did the most work...moving the camera around amongst other things, and I had a sizable dent for approximately 6 weeks until I started losing weight AND my swelling went down.
If it isn't hot, red, or oozing colored fluid, like pus, I wouldn't be too worried.

Same here - I was really worried when I saw the huge dent in my left side incision, I posted about it too lol.... It definitely flattens out as you lose weight ;)

Mine sunk a bit, to me that would not be a worry point.
