What's on the menu today, RNY-ers?
DCgirl,
I dice it and put some lemon and it normally can last two days my fiance normally eats the rest or someone at work.
I just bought the GNC whey isolate/ hydroisolate its 80 calories for 20 grams of protein and it really does taste chocolatey all on its own mixed with jus****er.
You are going to LOVE working with your trainer I am suprised everyday by something they have me do that I never thought I could. Though walking up and down the stairs at work today I had a few not so nice words for my trainer go through my head lol.
3 years out in April.
Breakfast: Protein Shake
Lunch Taco salad
Snack: cauliflower popcorn
Dinner Pork tenderloin (the family will eat it shredded on tortillas. I will do lettuce wraps.) Roasted plums, and I need to come up with a veggie.
Snack :probably some greek yogurt with flax seed
Exercise 3 mile interval run and pilates
Hey Day Dream Believer - your menu sounds delicious. Roasted plums with pork is probably a perfect complement! I don't think I know what cauliflower popcorn is. I googled it - is this the recipe you use? Sounds delicious! http://www.food.com/recipe/cauliflower-popcorn-roasted-cauli flower-115153
Wanted to share two recipes that I make often, and am making today for snacks and lunches
Black Bean Salsa
1 can black beans drained
1 can corn drained
1 red bell pepper diced
1 green bell pepper diced
1/2 Large red onion diced
generous amount if cumin, and fresh lime juice (these are to taste really, I like A LOT of both)
fresh cilantro
mix everything up and let set for a few Hours, taste and add anything if necessary. I LOVE this with hint if lime tortilla chips, but you could just put it on some lettuce with chicken, put it in a wrap. The possibilities are endless and it's DELICIOUS
Chicken Pasta Salad (I make this with pasta for my husband and then make a bowl of just the chicken and veggies for myself)
1 Whole Chicken, boiled and pulled off the bone
Pasta (if you use pasta, cook it in the broth from the chicken)
Cherry Tomatoes, halved
Artichoke Hearts, chopped
Black Olives, sliced
Red onion, minced
Dressing:
red wine vinegar, olive oil, a dash of sugar (I use a pack of sweet and low), season all, crushed basil, just eyeball everything, obviously there's a lot more vinegar and oil than anything
Great to be back at work today, but I miss checking in on here every few hours (or minutes )

L: cannellini bean salad with fresh moz and basil & a boiled egg
D: grilled chicken nuggets from Chick-fil-a
