Do they have any small pills, chewables or capsules in Calcium citrate, I really hate the big pills even the the petites seem to big. Thanks

There are chewables.  They aren't real tiny.  Celebrate and Bariatric Advantage both sell a variety.

I don't think you'll find any calcium citrate pills much smaller than the petites.  That's mostly because, if they were much smaller, you'd have to take a TON of them and most people don't want to take that many.

You can cut the petites in half if you like.

You might also like Upcal D, which is a powdered calcium citrate.  You can mix it in any drink or in something like yogurt.

I take Bariatric Advantage chewables in caramel. They taste so good. I take 3 a day. They taste like candy. Yummy.

I use a liquid calcium citrate from Solgar. It also contains vit D3 and magnesium citrate. Dose of 1 tablespoon has 600 mg of calcium, 500 IU of Vit. D3, and 300 mg of magnesium. I take it 4 times a day since I'm not sure if we absorb more than 500 mg of calcium at a time. The blueberry tastes pretty good. It's kind of pricey, but my other vitamins are all relatively inexpensive, so I don't mind spending the extra money on it. I buy it at The Vitamin Shoppe.

Those darn "petites" are anything but! They are shaped weirdly, and are just too thick for me.

Yes, I sure do. I wasn't in the beginning, but my level was low the last time I had labs drawn. I buy the dry D3 from Nature Made. I found it at Wal-Mart.

I wanted to know do you always eat with the liquid calcium because I bought some and wanted to know if you can take it alone? What do you eat with it because I'm on puree 2 oz now. Also how much dry d3 do you take because when I took 5000 my labs were low.

I don't eat anything with my liquid calcium. I never thought about doing that.

I take 2,000 IU of the dry Vit D3 4 times a day, with each of my calcium doses. The 4 tablets plus the 500 IU in the calcium gives me 10,000 IU daily-plus 800 IU from my multi. My D level was at a 44 at my six month mark. I'm getting my labs drawn this week. I hope my levels are better by now. I may need to adjust dosages depending on my new lab results.

Always take advice from me, or anyone here, with the caveat that what might work for me may not have the same effect for anyone else.

I know it can be difficult to really pin down what the proper dosages are for our individual needs.

You can cut larger pills in pieces.  Rub the rough edges of two pieces together to smooth them.
