calcium pill stuck
It's been 3 hours and I feel my pill and it hurts, I have had this happen the last few times I needed a dialation. I tried a little water and vomited that. I was talking to someone on here and she said she went to a GI Specialist to get her dialations and I have one here in town, not 3 hours away, I think I will call tomorrow to ask about it.Does anyone know any tricks to help the pill go through ? I will probably have to wait another 5 hours.
Drink some warm water or tea.

There's really no way for me to know if you do or not. Are you having trouble getting food down or was it just this one pill? I think I'd call your surgeon and ask what he thinks.

I am almost 6 years out and still hate calcium pills, I can take capsules. But most big pills just hurt.
Warm water may help. I also try to use fat - hoping that it would help lubricate the opening.. 1/4 tsp of coconut oil, followed by warm water, tea... Works for me.

Ouch! I had a "petite" get stuck, but not anywhere near as long! I was able to swallow enough water to get it to go down. It was a scary moment for sure.
Hopefully by now, the problem has been resolved!
