Is it possible?
HI. I am 2 months out and am complication free.
No leaks. No skin infections. No pain that couldnt be taken care with liquid acetaminophen after the first 24 hours. I was off the liquid acetaminophen after 3 days post op.
I was up and walking within 4 hours of surgery. Not power walking but walking.
I was complication free and the surgery has been the best thing I have done for myself.

I am almost 1 mth post-op, had my RNY done on Feb 3. I have had no complications at all. I am following my dr's orders closely and like others have said the only issue so far is slowing down when eating. I haven't had any vomiting or dumping, and no pain. I can walk 3 or more km/day (1.86 miles) without worry. I recovered very quickly, feeling awesome, and so glad I had the surgery!
I'm 49 and 3 months post. Honestly it has been as smooth as I could have hoped for! Hubby's was 3 years ago and I *thought* his was smooth until mine was even better.
You'll find that those of us who haven't had any problems don't post it on here much unless asked like you did. We don't want to make the people who do have complications feel worse when they are already having problems. But it is a very good point - newbies do need to know about the chance of no-problems.
I had my surgery on 5/13 and knock on wood no problems AT ALL. As long as you follow your plan, and your doctors orders its all good! I am down 113pds.

Sailed through RNY and recovery at 60 with congestive heart failure. MUCH better now that the weight is half gone. No complications whatsoever. The internet is full of whiners and angst-ridden people. The majority of us just have surgery, do what we need to do to be healthy and get on with our lives without hanging out on forums. A few kind people stick around to guide the newbies, but most just get back to their normal, but improved, lives.
You'll be fine!
9 years out no complications. I did have my gallbladder out post-WLS although it was 5 1/2 years after it wouldn't be related to the rapid weight loss that cause some to need their gallbladder out after surgery.

9 weeks out today. My complications are figuring out what to do with my insulin, metformin and high blood pressure medications since I don't need them anymore!! Seriously though, no complications here either.
