I am so glad you got to see the Today show. That calorie thing and servings on food and drink items can really throw a person off.It will be great for my kids even though they are 18 and 20.They will tell me oh that only has 100 calories in it then I will ask how many servings are in it.So I try not to be the food police. It can be hard sometimes not to.

B:Omelet with light cheese/ Hot chocolate sugar free

S:protein bar

L:salad with some chicken

D:beef taco salad

Today is kind of an emotional day.My son graduates from school tomorrow and I just sent my daughters housing deposit to the school she will be going to .I am excited for the both of them. But sometimes I get weepy.

Don't get upset about leaving the fitbit home. I am sure you will do well today.I love when I go to parties.I find a spot to sit in and watch everyone. I always bring juice packs with me to mix with water. One thing when I go to parties I do get in all of my liquids for the day.

One thing is good is tomorrow is Friday.

Thank you for posting today.Enjoy the steps you take today. You will be fine. You should be proud that you actually care and didn't say screw it and go get something bad to eat.

Take care

WOW that does sound emotional :(  Coming up to an empty nest would be tough.  I imagine it's a weird feeling to be proud that your kids are ready to be citizens of the world...but at the same time sad because you will miss them.

TOTALLY agree on serving sizes.  I mean, since when is a pint of ice cream FOUR servings?  Obviously a pint of ice cream was one serving for me, back in the day lol.  But I think even normal size people can throw down half a pint.  Most food items will get more realistic servings.  Yogurt, strangely, will have a smaller serving.  Not sure why.

Yeah, I guess I am upset about the FitBit because now I live for my weekly FitBit report that tells me how many steps I took in a week, how many miles I walked etc.  Even though it won't track all my daytime steps, I think for my mental health I have to pick it up before I go to the gym.  LOL

Happy almost Friday, indeed!

Kenyatta!  You're one of "those" girls now ;)  The ones in a mini dress with no coat when it's 30 degrees LOL.  Well to that, I say, ROCK ON!  I will be one "those" girls too one day ha ha.  Sorry you got sick though, and I hope you are all healed up.  I did the elliptical for 5 minutes yesterday until a treadmill opened up and I thought of you.  I cannot get in the groove on that thing!

121 g of protein.  I must sound like a broken record but you put me to SHAME.  Awesome menu today!

B: Premier Protein shake

S: ran out of time and took vitamins instead

L: South Beach Meal bar (so short on time today)

S: Turkey Jerky or L & F yogurt

D: going out - in the mood for fish. . . maybe a small salad?

That is interensting on the Today Show.  Good for Michelle Obama.  She's also doing a lot with improving school lunches.  Serving sizes are so tricky and confusing.  I'm used to it by now, I've been counting calories since I was able to add!!!!   On a side note, I just read an article on a fitness site (can't remember to site it) saying to skip the Eliptical when working out.  That it is not a good machine because it doesn't follow the body's natural movement that you start out fires blazing and end up at a turtle's pace and various other reasons.  It suggested the treadmill was a way better machine.  It said that of course the Eliptical does burn calories, but that it's not as efficient.  Just thought I would mention this since so many people hate it anyway!

Mmmm falafel!  Now I want middle eastern flavors for dinner!  That sounds awesome.  I love that you're still participating on OH even 2 years and 7 months after starting your journey.  I plan to do the same :)  Your workout sounds intense.  I can't imagine running but I am definitely walking more than I ever have :)

Breakfast: Banana with Peanut butter

Lunch salad and stuffed pepper soup

Snack:  I have bunco tonight so I am bringing hummus and veggie sticks to munch on.  Hopefully I will be so busy having fun I won't miss the wine and food everyone else is eating.

Exercise:  I skipped today.  My church is holding a rummage sale and I spent the day setting up for it.

I hear ya on trying not to miss the wine :)

I have to say, seeing your starting weight and current weight gives me hope that I may make it too!  Can I ask how long it took you to go from 300 to 160?  Congratulations - you almost lost half of your whole body weight - and are obviously still making great food choices!!!  Awesome!!!
