I don't know of any reason you couldn't add seasoning.

My nutritionist told me to add a little barbecue sauce to the ground turkey

Try Montreal steak seasoning, and some strained salsa.  So good. I use little bit of flax meal instead of bread crumbs.  That increase the fiber and keeps it all together. Don't use too much of it.  For 1 lb of meat I use up to  2 TBs (you may start with one, mix that with 1/2 cup strained salsa, then add to the meat)

The 1 or 2 Tbsp is that measurment for the flax meal or the seasoning?

Flax meal for 1 lb of turkey. Seasoning - I add to taste.. It would be probably 1 Tbs if you do not mind salty.. ( I need salt) also watch for slat and spices in salsa.  I add less if salsa is really salty. you can add red paper flakes, granulated garlic, and some other spices. I use No salt added taco seasoning instead - I use a lot of that for turkey - but make sure it is the No-salt-added.  or low salt

Yes! Ground turkey is extremely boring - you have to use lots of seasoning to make it taste like anything.  Seasoning's won't hurt you.
