I also had a vit d level mine was 18, lt should be 30-80 but I have increased from 5000 d3 to 2 a day. These were tests from my surgeon at 4 weeks out.
Are you taking dry D3?
HW333--SW 289--GW of 160 5' 11" woman. I only know the way I know & when you ask for input/advice, you'll get the way I've been successful through my surgeon & nutritionist. Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way. Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!
yes it's dry d3, was 5000 now increased to 10,000 until my next blood work done at 4 months. I take a chewable calcium citrate 3x chewable multi3x just because I'm having the hardest time swallowing the big pills, I hope will get better in time and I will switch to pills. Some people have no problem swallowing pills but I'm the lucky one I do. Ok, I also take 1 b1, 2 sublingual b12, iron, and probiotic. I'm still a work in process.
i am kinda scared of doing surgey on me....after i read about other folks having problems....i have been dieting like they asked me to do and lost 30 lbs so far...started in januarly sometime. i need to loose like 90-100 lbs yet......now family is helping more than normal also so it's been helpful dieting aslo.
plus seeing the diatition my ins. is not covering that....so thats $300 ....we are not rich or bring home lots of money....i have brain cancer also so i get some money from social security disabilty(ssd). wife gets good hours...sorry for telling you my personal things...makes me feel better at times.
pills....arent you suppose to chop them up? small hand masher?
you sound pretty smart...so i am pretty possitive things sound good for you...keep it up brown eyes....lol
I know this is a hard decision because I thought about it for five years, but I was 4"11 and 270 lbs and no matter how many times I told myself I could do it on my own, I just kept gaining. I have lost weight before but gained it back. I wish now I really would of tried harder. I have lost 35lbs in 8 weeks because I can't eat like I used to. This really has to be your own decision why you choose to have surgery. My family loves to eat and I used to love to eat to so that's what got me into trouble, but I have always been on the heavy side. Yes you can crush pills, I did but it got on my nerves, i will go back to buying my pills at the store because I have to go cheap to. I really hope everything works out for you. Lots of luck. I don't know alot about this life yet I'm still learning. I think it is normal to have second thoughts, I did.
I WANT TO LOOSE WEIGTHT . AND LOST LIKE 30 LBS ON MY OWN RIGHT NOW. I AM ALSO SCARED OF INS. COVERING ALMOST EVERTHING...WE ARE NOT RICH FOR MONEY. WE ALREADY HAVE TO PAY FOR 3 SITTING WITH DIATITION FOR $300. MEDICARE WILL COVER 80% THEN I HAVE OTHER HELP FROM SOCIAL SERVICES...AND HOPE THAY CAN FILL THE GAP. THEY ONLY HELP MONTHLY SO I AM TRYING TO GET EVRYTHING DONE IN ONE MONTH. BUT WHAT SCARES ME IF I HAVE LOTS OF PROBLEMS AND CONTINUE....THEN I WILL HAVE MONTHLY BILLS.
THANKS FOR CARING
...THANKS BROWNEYES
