Great weekend. Met with friends, had not been out with for a year. Warm weather 83 degrees, but sucks the time changed for us forward. Yesterday I ate at Cheesecake Factory. Steak diane and salmon, no mashed potatoes, steamed broccoli, 1300 calories for my lunch, holy moly. Ate it for lunch and dinner though, but still that meal is 2 days worth of calories!!

B, premier protein

S, low fat string cheese

L, 1/2 cup refried beans (rosiritas-no fat), 2 slices brown sugar deli ham

D, 4 oz. turkey burger (not sure how to cook it, I tend to over cook and comes out dry, any suggestions?)

Have a blessed day all

renee

So what did your friends say when they saw you????  I bet they were wowed by you!  I also saw a friend this weekend who hadn't seen me in about six months, and you and I have the same surgery day, and she was wowed :)  It felt great!

I just bought some turkey burgers myself.  I don't have a grill so I pan sauté them.  I also tend to make those dry.  And salmon burgers - forget about it!!!!  They come out so damn dry :(

I love the Cheesecake Factory but I am going to avoid it for a while. I am sure I would definitely have some serious calories there!  The portions are huge.  God, when I think of how I used to eat...LOL!

I got some OMG's, you look great! Although we agreed to meet monthly, I will definitely not be having Cheesecake Factory for some time. Lunch portions were not huge for this plate, but you could taste the butter in the steak, as well as caramelized onions and mushrooms (but agree, what I use to eat before, could feed a small family)

regarding turkey burgers, I pan seared mine too, probably too long, but I ate one at a cafe at the cathedral in Los  Angeles, and it was the moistest thing I've had in meat for months!! I so Wanted to recreate that :)

Hello All,

Well I'm almost 7 weeks out and finally able to eat more "normal" food.  I'm taking it slow though as my pouch still doesn't seem to be crazy about protein (chicken, beef, pork and fish have all given me problems).  Looks like I'll be drinking protein shakes for awhile longer, but I figure it's a journey right?

B - Premier Protein

L - Premier Protein

D - 3 Egg Bites (with sauteed peppers & jack cheese)

S - Maybe a bowl of unjury chicken soup

Cals - 545; Carbs - 14; Protein - 88

E - 30 min walk at lunch

V - Ok

W - So far on track

I'm sorry your pouch is picky :( Though perhaps it's a blessing in disguise as mine accepts anything lol. I think if you like fish then tuna could be a good option?

Beautiful day here.  I even wore sandals though I am in desperate need of a pedicure!!

B: protein coffee

L: Well, it was going to be a beautiful spinach salad with chicken, pecans, feta, red onion & strawberries.....It was DISGUSTING! So I had a cherry greek yogurt.

D: Pork roast with sauer kraut and some black eyed peas.

S: Probably a ham and pepper jack toasted roll-up.

E: reluctantly lol

W: not a problem

V: just night time meds to go now.  I know what you mean about those "petites" lol

Your salad sounds awesome! I'm sorry it ended up being disgusting :( I used to have a "signature salad" that I brought to parties - spinach, goat cheese, dried cranberries and toasted pine nuts. It was always a hit. Excited to have that one day. I still haven't ventured into raw lettuce territory.
