What's on your menu today, RNY-ers?
Have fun in zumba. I always stand in the back so no one sees me tripping over my feet. I was actually kicked out of ballet as a child. Most likely because of my weight, but it didn't help that I wasn't very good. If you can't do string cheese try a protein shake. I know you don't like them, but it will be easy to eat and will sustain you through class.
Breakfast
Protein shake
Lunch Left over pork tenderloin and black bean lettuce wraps
Dinner: Haven't decided. I need to come up with something to do with all this left over pork tenderloin. Maybe I will make a stir fry
Snack grapefruit and greek yogurt...not at the same time.
Exercise 30 minute core class, 4 mile run at 5k race speed, and 60 minutes weights
Yeah...I have done Zumba at a casual class at a Boys and Girls club, but this is at my swanky gym, so I hope it's not too embarrassing! I tend to be going right while everyone else is going left. I figure as long as I just keep moving, it's a good thing!
I wish I had planned ahead and brought a shake. That would be perfect after a cavity filling. Alas, poor planning by me :(
Seeing your workout plan, I may try to do a bit of treadmill after my class. You and your two hour workouts! It's insanely impressive.
BTW, I am constantly struggling with leftovers, and I find that if I google it, I can get some great ideas. I found a site with 11 ideas of what to do with pork tenderloin leftovers :) Perhaps one will interest you! The salad sounds kind of awesome.
Here are 11 wonderful ways to enjoy leftover pork tenderloin:
1. Thinly slice and heat it, and nestle inside of a crusty oblong roll with sauteed onions, mushrooms, peppers, and mozzarella cheese or barbecue sauce, cole slaw, and Monterey Jack cheese.
2. Dice and saute it, and add to home-made fried rice.
3. Chop and heat it, and add to rice and beans.
4. Thinly slice it and add to pasta. Try rigatoni with sauteed pork, white beans, spinach, olive oil, and lots of grated Parmesan cheese.
5. Chop it into small pieces and add to your nachos.
6. Dice or slice it, and use in place of bacon for a breakfast scramble.
7. Thinly slice it and add to quesadillas or tacos with shredded cheddar cheese, salsa, and guacamole.
8. Thinly slice and saute it, and add to a bowl of ramen noodles or miso soup.
9. Thinly slice it and add to a hearty salad of romaine lettuce, sliced apples, almonds, and a mustard vinaigrette.
10. Slice into thin strips and add to a cold Asian noodle salad with sprouts, carrots, sugar snap peas, mangoes, and a soy-ginger dressing.
11. Slice and heat it, and serve over hot creamy polenta with tomato basil sauce and grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese.
I hate those darn petites too lol. I choke them down twice a day and take the lemon citrate chew in the afternoon. I have ordered the upcal also. It should be here by Friday.
B: Protein iced coffee. I actually enjoyed it this time. I mixed my click mocha with 16 oz of Starbuck's plain iced coffee. I drank it from a shaker bottle & I think that helped cut back on the off-putting protein odor.
L: Leftover chili with beans & a slice of cheddar
D: taco salad
S: probably have yogurt or maybe a few cocoa dusted almonds.
V: on track & alarms set
W: already met minimum for the day
E: C25K this afternoon & my youngest wants me to do kempo(?) with her later.
Y'all have a great day!!!!
I got the idea of chicken sausage from reading your posts on here! I got some at Target last night. It was a garlic/spinach kind. I've seen them at Sam's club too, so I'll be getting some soon if I don't burn out on them. Only 80 calories for such a filling meal is great! It was actually pretty good and VERY filling. I don't know why surgeons have such different plans, but I guess as long as they work. . .I think my surgeon's office is trying to set people up not to "graze", which totally makes sense for longterm success, but it just did not work for me. I still wouldn't get my protein and calories if I didn't have 2 snacks and I'm almost 15 months out. I might have to reassess this if I begin to be able to start eating larger quanities at one sitting.
What a good idea to assess what works for me and maybe make a blend of my plan and all of y'all's plan. My protein numbers pretty much top out at 70 or 75 because in three meals it's almost not possible to have more! I occasionally have a shake in the afternoon or at night if my protein numbers aren't good. Before something like Zumba I just need some sort of sustenance :) I am so glad you like the chicken sausage! There are so many varieties. 80 calories is the lowest I have heard of! Great find!
Beautiful day yesterday but cold and gloomy again today here in Illinois! B 1/2c steel cut oats with nuts and 1/2 banana with peanut butter L 1/2c chicken salad and 1/2c greek yogurt S whole grain crackers with peanut butter D3 oz turkey and 1oz cheese and 1/2c green beans S 3/4 c greek yogurt. Fluids on track to get 80 Oz's and vits on track too. E 20 minutes bike and 200 crunches already done. Headed downstairs to do 30 minutes on the treadmill. 18 months out and maintaining for last 10 at 120. My doctors plan called for only 3 meals too but I was waking up with low blood sugars so added bedtime snack with their blessing. When I got down so low on my weight I was told to try to eat something every 3 hours. If I don't get my snacks my weight goes down to the underweight range. Have a great Monday everybody!
