Hi OH friends,

I hope you are all having a good start to the day!  My day is good, but cold!  I had a great day yesterday - I did an hour of Zumba (in a terrible and uncoordinated way but hey, an hour of aerobic activity is not bad!) followed by 1.5 miles on the treadmill followed by a .7 mile walk home.  I have a personal training session tonight.  I can't believe how quickly I have become a fan of exercise.  Who is this person???  :)

Time Since Surgery: 12 weeks, 3 days

B: Egg white, two slices turkey bacon, slice of American cheese

L: Leftover shirataki no-carb "noodles" with olive oil, garlic, jalapeño chicken al fresco sausage

D: Gonna have to be a turkey burger!  Got the craving after yesterday's post!

V: So far, so good

W: I am about 30 ounces in

E: 25 minutes personal training at 6 pm, followed by 1.5 or 2 miles on the treadmill.  Is it bad that I watch Diners, Drive-ins and Dives while I walk?  LOL

This is 613 calories and only 60 grams of protein.  I may have to have a yogurt or cheese stick to boost my protein.  Yesterday I only had 55 g of protein but after having dinner at 8 pm, I couldn't fit any more food before bed :(

Check yesterday's post for an amazing recipe for bacon wrapped chicken bites.  I am definitely going to get on that, Kenyatta!

What's on your menu today?  Em

I have to get my daily dose of Walker Texas Ranger when I do the treadmill.  If Chuck Norris can take on 20 men with guns while blindfolded with a broken arm, I can run for an hour.  I am not sure I could do Diners, Drive ins and Dives, though.  Although the one where they were cooking in 50 year old grease certainly turned me off fast food.

You are doing great on your exercise.  You know you have become an exercise junkie when your day doesn't feel right if you don't do some sort of exercise.

Hi Audra,

I love seeing how plans evolve throughout time!  Looks like you still eat protein first even four years out.  Just curious - do you use MFP or something to log your food?  I wonder if I will ever be able to just eat and not track and count.  I love ahi tuna poke.  Sounds awesome.

Have a great afternoon!

I am very much a creature of habit. I have never tracked my food or calories. I will just be sure I am eating enough protein and drinking enough fluids. I also weigh every day to keep on track

Hi Regina!  I remember the joy in eating food after four weeks of shakes :)  I am gonna say maybe don't test out a new food like beef while at a party...you do not want to freak out your friends :)  You could always eat some tuna salad or egg salad or something at home beforehand?  If Bunko is once a month you could always have it next month :)  I just know I got the foamies last weekend in front of a friend of mine and she was extremely freaked out and I felt terrible and just wanted to be alone and lay down.  Not fun!  Glad you are onto soft solids and enjoying it!  If you don't feel full from things like yogurt and cottage cheese, don't worry...I didn't feel fullness until I started dense proteins.

I was kinda thinking the same thing about the corned beef. Darn Oh well I will have it next year (she makes it once a year for us)

I am so full off what I am eating! I had a scrambled egg last night and OMG I felt like I had eaten a 3 egg omelet with the works and a side of hash browns I was so full.   When I first sat down to my little bit of egg I thought there is no way one egg is going to be enough!  I haven't had Foamies, Not sure exactly what they are but I know I don't want them!!

Hi Regina,

I'm going to second DCgirl's advice and say stay away from the corned beef.  I went to dinner at my parents house last weekend and my mom makes amazing corned beef (I was only 2 days into being cleared to eating solid foods).  I'll spare you the details, but it did not go well and my poor mom was incredibly worried (even though she didnt' do anything wrong).  I think maybe there was either too much salt or fat in the corned beef (even though it didn't taste salty or fatty) and my pouch just didn't like it.  I know we're all different, but I realize corned beef is just something I'm going to have to wait awhile before I enjoy again.  Good Luck and have fun at bunko!
