This is just the inspiration I have been looking for. It's so good to know that we can maintain our weight loss for many years. All it takes is the dedication and staying the course. I'm trying to get my head around the fact that the way I eat now is the way I need to eat for the rest of my life. I'm not on another "diet" where once I reach my weight loss goal I can go back to old habits. Thanks for your posts.
For all of you years long vets. Please post your experience and maintenance status for us newbies. Great stories to be told I imagine.

My Orthopedic surgeon is Dr. Christopher Phelps. He will do a partial or complete knee replacement on you regardless of your age. I'm 52 and he's trying to get me to retirement (4 more years) before doing mine. He works out of the new Stone Oak Methodist hospital. He's young compared to most doctors, but I also think that's good. He does minimally invasive knee replacements and the recovery time is a little shorter. He made me feel a little more comfortable knowing what was in store with my upcoming replacement.
