how much is too much weight to loose?
I will be a year out on April 8th (boy that went fast) and I had dropped 148 pounds going from my highest of 282 to 144. Went from wearing 2xl down to large clothing. But I was told by my doctor I lost too much too fast. So I was wondering is that even possible?
Also feel like being nosy and asking others how far are you out? How much did you lose? Are you at your goal?
I was gonna be at 150 but lost 6 expounds.unds
No you did not lose too much too fast. Many people reach goal by a year out.
How tall are you? Unless you are super tall, 144 is not too small. I suspect you are much shorter since you said you are wearing size large.

5'1" and 144 is not too thin. I am 5'7" and weigh 138 and I am not too thin.
People are used to seeing you heavier. Also, for many of us, our faces look a bit gaunt at first, but by the second year our weight seems to redistribute a bit and we look better. If people are telling you you are too thin, thank them for their concern and tell them your doctor is taking good care of you.
Keep up the good work and continue to take care of your health!!

My goal weight is 147, and I am your height. If you look at government dietary standards I believe our weight range is something ridiculous like 106-111, SO 144 is fine. How do you feel? Go by that. I always thought it is better to feel stronger and energized then to look skinny and feel tired all the time, which is how 106-111 feels to me. Even prior to my years of being morbidly obese, I felt better being heavier then what WW said my "goal weight" should be, it just felt healthier. I am surprise to hear your doctor say this was too little- and not sure how losing too fast makes a difference. But I am not a doctor. Good Luck and congrats-- my last 27 pounds feels like it will never come off! Plateaued at only 7 months out..grrrr!
I don't think losing from a 2XL to a L in a year is too much at all. Why does your doctor say that is too much too fast? Are you having medical issues? Many people are done losing at about a year out, depending on how much they had to lose.
I lost 100 pounds in six months and then it took me another 16 months to lose the additional 90 pounds (but the last 20 took FOREVER... at a rate of like 2 - 3 pounds per month!). I don't remember exactly where I was at a year out, but I started 50+ pounds heavier than you so it isn't really very relevant anyway.
How tall are you? If you are wearing Large clothing and 144 pounds, I doubt very much that you are too thin.
I am almost 7 years out, 5' 3.5" tall, and maintain right at 145 (which was my goal weight when we took my body type and age into account). I wear size 10 (medium) bottoms and size 12-14 (medium or large) tops (I still have very big boobs), and I am most definitely not too thin. I would actually like to be 10 pounds less, but my body is very comfortable where it is.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
I'm 5'1 too and people say I look thin because they can see my cheekbones and collarbones for the first time ever. What they don't see is the fact that other parts of my body still have a way to go because I'm doing a great job of using clothes to enhance/camouflage/cover these areas. I think it really depends on how you feel. I keep revising my goal because I am going into numbers now that I never imagined I would get to, but I still don't feel like I'm finished. I also feel like I really need to work more on toning to know what's fat and what's just loose. How do you feel? Do you feel too thin?
