What's on the menu today, RNYers?
Hi OH friends and family! Yep, you've graduated to family status :) Thanks for your super warm welcome home! Hope everyone's day is off to a good start! The snow is coming down sideways here in DC. I just keep repeating "Spring is coming, Spring is coming". I am also donating all of my too big winter clothes. If that's not optimistic, I don't know what is!
I'm down 2 lbs today after only 1.4 last week so I am feeling pretty good! I also got my butt kicked by my trainer last night. Oy, can't move my arms.
Time Since Surgery: 14 weeks, 1 day
B: Two slices of Harris Teeter thick cut applewood smoked turkey bacon. I love this stuff! Each slice is 45 calories and 6 g of protein! Nuke it for 1:30 and good to go...
L: Dinner leftovers from last night. 1/3 cup shirataki pasta zero noodles, 1 80-calorie spinach and garlic chicken sausage I found at Target, a splash of olive oil and some grated parmesan cheese
S: I got a box from Bariatric Pantry! I am dying to try the Matrix mint cookie shake - you guys rave about it on here. I will make it with unsweetened almond milk.
D: TBD
E: I have personal training after work, and will do 2 miles on the treadmill
W: None yet, since I woke up and ate. Waiting that dreaded 30 minutes...
V: Oops. Taking now!
My totals without dinner are 450 calories, 55 g of protein, 14 g of carbs, 18 g of fat. Dinner will have to be whatever I can scrape up from the freezer...maybe a Morningstar veggie burger or a salmon burger (though I always overcook the salmon burger).
What's on your menu today?
I am down 2 lbs. I finally broke past 125 lbs. barrier. I now weigh 124 lbs. Getting closer to 115 lbs. goal. Yeah!

My initial RNY surgery was 06/2009. I had to have "candy cane" stomach/colon revision 11/2013 due to having severe stomach pain and digestive issues. I immediately began losing from 148 lbs. down 10 lbs. for post-op check up. I am working towards maintaining my low weight of 115 lbs. again.
You look like you are headed in the right direction. Keep it up!

Good morning, Emily! So sorry to hear about the snow, for an additional reason: my husbeast is flying in this afternoon for a meeting. I hope the airport isn't snowed in!
I've decided to try to do more planning ahead with my meals to keep from the dreaded "OMG, I'm hungry and must eat something NAOOWWWW!" situation. So, glad to see this post up. Here's the 411 for me for today:
B: 1/2 C cottage cheese, 1/2 C sliced strawberries, 1 tbsp Whole Foods Crunchy flaxseed granola
L: 1/2 C diced roast chicken breast, 1 scant tbsp mayo, 1 tbsp chopped scallion
D: 3 ounces sirloin steak, 6 grape tomatoes
S: 1 scoop Jay Robb protein, 1 C unsweetened almond milk
MFP says that's 715 cals, 25 carbs, 89 protein. Without the granola it would be lower, but I just needed some crunch today.
W, V, on track.
E: Ugh. Going to drag myself to the treadmill for as long as I can stand it...it's cold, AGAIN, outside!
Have a great day!
(Edited to correct quantity of strawberries, they were delicious! )

Pam! So glad you are back and posting :) Man, we are total surgery twins! Surgery the same week and we have lost the same amount of weight :) Now if only I could shed 10 years like you did!
The snow is very fine, if that makes any sense, so your husband should be ok. Although DC is the wussiest place ever and the schools close at the thought of snow, normally. In most states, an inch of snow would NOT close an airport, but with DC you just never know...
You menu looks seriously delicious! As in, seriously!
Request me on MFP if we aren't linked already? I am eawilson21 :0
Em
Girl, I could afford to lose ten years; I'm older than dirt! If you lose ten years, the authorities will be picking you for truancy.

Good Morning everybody! So I had my 2 mo. Dr's apt yesterday and he was happy with my progress. I told him I was having some trouble with different proteins and long story short he wants me to wait 6 months before I try eating any chicken or red meat again! EEK! That's going to be tough, but when I started this journey I promised I'd follow my Dr's plan to a T, so good bye chicken and steak :( Hopefully we'll meet again some day :)
Congrats on the 2 lb loss this morning! I love when I see a lb or more on the scale, it makes my whole day.
Time since surgery 2 months 3 days
B - Fage 2% and a shot of wheatgrass juice (I'm experimenting with it based on a friends recommendation, I'll post more later if it works:)
L - Premier Protein Shake
S - 1 cup of roasted kale chips
D - Shrimp with lemon
V - Working on it
W - Working on it
E - 30 min on the treadmill

Have a great day everyone!
