What do you think.  Positive or a waste of time and money?  Does anyone eat them?  Would a brand from the grocery be ok.  Like from Kroger.

tried 'em.  didn't like 'em. I'd think any brand would be okay-just follow the nutritional info on the package to determine if it is a good dietary choice for you.

Dr. Oz loves them and their nutritional value. Google them

Two schools.  One says that the gelatinous coating that forms on the outside washes away nutrients; just can't remember which nutrients and didn't look it up again before posting this.  I eat them mixed into my yoghurt.   As  a matter of fact, just finished my afternoon snack - Source brand yoghurt with 1 tsp chia seeds and 1 tbs barberries.  Sometimes I add a few nuts, or hemp hearts, or crushed flax or....... as well. I also mix them with quinoa flakes and other seeds etc., and water.   Nuke on high for about 90 seconds, add some cinnamon, milk and a bit of butter and you have a really good hot replacement for oatmeal.

I put chia seed in my Kroger greek yogurt. I also buy it at Kroger, in their natural food section.

My DD has me adding a tablespoon each milled chia seed and ground flaxmeal to my daily protein smoothies...hardly know they are there but hoping they are a true health benefit.  Voting you try them from your local grocery store and let us know if you turn into a superhero. ha.

I just heard about them on the Dr. Oz show. He said they are good to eat either as a snack or ground up in foods. I have not tried them yet. I have tried whole flax seeds. They are nutty and good in shakes.

“Let someone love you just the way you are – as flawed as you might be, as unattractive as you sometimes feel, and as unaccomplished as you think you are. To believe that you must hide all the parts of you that are broken, out of fear that someone else is incapable of loving what is less than perfect, is to believe that sunlight is incapable of entering a broken window and illuminating a dark room.”― Marc Hack
