What's on your menu today, RNYers?
Early post for me...I was at work at 8 am because I have to leave at 4:30 to see my personal trainer :)
Time Since Surgery: One week short of 4 months. TIME FLIES!
B: Syntrax Matrix Mint Cookie Shake YUM
L: Tuna tartare with grilled avocado (best in DC, IMO)
D: I am trying a new recipe. It's a Mexican flavored turkey meatloaf. It will have sautéed onions, light shredded Mexican cheese, taco seasoning, canned green chilies, and then taco sauce on top (instead of ketchup). And one egg to bind it together. And 99% fat-free turkey. We will see how it turns out. It's not a recipe I found online, it's one I made up in my mind ha ha. So we will see how that ends up...
S: None. I am in a plateau and it's depressing, although I know the scale will move again.
W: I am 10 oz in but it's not yet 9 am :)
V: Morning vits down the hatch
E: 25 minute personal training session and 35 minutes on the treadmill
Totals: 620 calories, 15 g fat,29 g carbs (high for me), 87 g protein. The last two days I have been at 800 calories so I am hoping less calories will jumpstart my weight loss again.
What's on your menu today? Em
Hey first LOVE The new pic and the NEW you!
I forgot my breakfast and lunch in the fridge at home today. So I ate 2 cheese stick for breakfast.
I think I will have BBQ for lunch (just the pulled pork on the pulled pork sandwich). No bread.
That ...or make a salad of chicken breast and veggies from teh salad bar.
Teh bbq sounds way better though...

“Let someone love you just the way you are – as flawed as you might be, as unattractive as you sometimes feel, and as unaccomplished as you think you are. To believe that you must hide all the parts of you that are broken, out of fear that someone else is incapable of loving what is less than perfect, is to believe that sunlight is incapable of entering a broken window and illuminating a dark room.”― Marc Hack

Morning, all! Time for a regular follow up with my surgeon this morning, so I won't be eating anything until after I weigh in there. I know, pathetic, right? But I'm in the middle of a pause myself (I refuse to use the word "stall" anymore!) and I'm looking for any movement on the scale at all. In the meantime, I'll keep up fluids like usual and take the vits, so all will be well. Eventually.
B: Skipping. NOT healthy, I know, don't do what I do kids!
L: Cottage Cheese
D: Hamburger patty with sliced tomato
S: Jay Robb protein shake
S: Tuna salad
That gets me to about 658 calories, 7 carbs and 86 protein.
Have a great day, everyone!

You are doing really well.Stay off of the scale for a few days.Sometimes when we eat out we retain a lot of water.
B:Vanilla yogurt with small banana.I wanted to eat my sugar free pudding but I knew the yogurt was better for me.
S:Half of a vanilla pudding mixed with half of tapioca pudding both sugar-free
L:I think I am going to have eggs.
D:Taco Salad I sauteed ground turkey then I will put refried beans on it.I am trying to make two dinners two times a week so we don't go out too much.I do like to go out so someone else has to do the cooking and cleaning up.
Last night for dinner I took chicken sausage and baked it and then cut it up into chunks.I put ricotta cheese on the top of it and then put cooked ground turkey then more sauce then mozerella. And baked it for about a half hour.It was good my pouch really wasn't a fan of the sausage next time I am going to take it out of the casing.

After a dreadful day yesterday (it involved pizza, don't ask) I am feeling good again. I went for a small hike this morning, my first since getting sick a few weeks ago. It felt great. I usually am careful to choose a hike I know well because my winter mountaineering skills aren't great yet. Today's hike was much much steeper than I am comfortable with. So icy! I didn't have an ice ax and it was TERRIFYING! going up I was okay but coming down was just terrifying. But I did it! I talked to myself the whole way, "It is okay, you are doing fine, don't look down, just focus on the next step.." and I laughed at how much I need those words, on an icy cliff face and also for everyday life! To reward myself I am going online to shop the end of season sales for an ice ax. Can you believe that I (formerly morbidly obese and currently afraid of heights) am shopping for an ice ax? Fabulous!
Also, this fish is delicious. Yummy!
