Like others, I don't like to self-identify as a medical professional on this board... but in this case, I feel obligated to.  I know you say your BP was checked, but this sounds an awful lot like orthostatic hypotension to me.  Stay super hydrated, and see a doctor.  Blood sugar does not usually cause this problem... but blood pressure often does.

It started happening to me during my first year out.  I had surgery in October the dizzy spells when standing up started around February.

Blood pressure and blood sugars were good.  I had meters at home for both and did a lot of testing.  What finally worked was pumping my legs for a minute before standing up.  Seems that the blood was pooling in my legs and not getting up to my brain fast enough on standing.

For me it was some sort of adjustment to my lower weight.  I did not worry about it happening when driving because I am not going to quickly stand up when behind the wheel.  But I did need to get the blood going again before getting out of the car.

This was something that lasted about a month for me and then adjusted on its own.  I did go to the doctor to be sure nothing was wrong.  Someone online told me about pumping my legs before standing up.

I had this problem also and it was documented as a sudden blood pressure drop upon standing.  Had to really watch it for a while.  I found that increasing my water intake helps.  If I don't get a bottle of water in before breakfast I will still get dizzy later in the day.  I agree; call your Dr.  increase your fluids.  Some people require more than the 64 oz that is recommended.

this is called orthostatic hypotension.  I had that for a while after RNY and losing the weight.

I still get that if I get dehydrated or when I don't get enough salt or minerals..
