What's on the menu today, RNYers?
Its sunny here in Illinois right across the river from St Louis too but chilly. Since I lost my weight I am so cold all the time so I am sitting here in my sweater. I may get 3/4 sleeves out about July! Weight today119.2. 19 months post op. B 1/2 c steel cut oats with but mix and 1/2 banana with peanut butter L 31/2 Oz's pork loin and 1/2c broccoli S apple with peanut butter D ground beef patty with cheese and 1/2 c sweet potato S 3/4 c Greek yogurt with nuts. On track with liquids and vitamins. Already done 2.111 miles on the treadmill and 20 minutes on the bike. Will also do 200 crunches sometime before bed. Got to get off here and vacuum the living room as I have new furniture coming this afternoon. Have a great day everyone!
WOW great job on all your exercise so far. 200 crunches? I did 100 once and got such a cramp in my abdomen that I fell off the medicine ball lol. So I am super impressed by you, Karen!
I have heard of this amazing experience of being cold, as opposed to hot, but I have not experiences this just yet :) Maybe once I lose more weight!
Hello Everyone. I"m still going through my "stall" and it's really starting to get frustrating. I keep losing and gaining the exact same lb and it's driving me CRAZY!!!!! It's amazing how when I'm losing I so trust this process and have complete faith, and how whenever I hit even a 3 day bump in the road all of these doubts come flooding in. I know I'm being crazy, but I really need to see the scale start moving. I realize it may be time for a scale break, but I really have liked the accountability of weighing myself everyday (I think avoiding the scale is what got me this excessive weight in the first place). Anyways, that's my rant, fingers crossed that tomorrow is the day the scale starts moving again.
Time since surgery: 2 months 3 weeks
B - Premier Protein
L - Premier Protein
D - Leftover meatloaf with grilled veggies
E - Hour walk during the lunch break (I really need to kick my exercise up a notch, so I have an apt with a personal trainer tomorrow. I'm hoping that helps get things moving as well).
V - On track
W - On track
Cals - 507; Protein - 78; Carbs - 20; Fat - 14
I can feel your pain. I truly understand. We are in the same boat. We are going to break through our stalls though. Just up proteins and water! I BELIEVE! LOL! We have to!
“Let someone love you just the way you are – as flawed as you might be, as unattractive as you sometimes feel, and as unaccomplished as you think you are. To believe that you must hide all the parts of you that are broken, out of fear that someone else is incapable of loving what is less than perfect, is to believe that sunlight is incapable of entering a broken window and illuminating a dark room.”― Marc Hack

Awww dodger girl that is so frustrating! And you keep your calories so low too - right on with protein - it's just your body adjusting. I hope you love your session with your trainer! I know I am equally dreading my 6:0 appt and excited for it :) It's a butt-kicking, that's for sure!
I was weighing everyday but now I "scaled back" (no pun intended) to 2 or 3 times a week. I agree that it keeps me accountable.
Once the scale moves again it will move in a couple of lbs DOWN so just stay the course!
Welcome Rach to our plates thread. I find it really helps me to be accountable to write it all down and share. Kudos to you for journaling pre op. An attitude like that will help you get to your goal for sure. Pre op was the hardest part I thought. After surgery you will have a tiny little pouch to help you feel full once the nerves heal. You can do this and we are here to encourage and help along the way.
Good morning everyone from sunny NorCal! It's 10am and already in the 60s. Going to be in the 80s all week. I love the warm weather but I have nothing to wear! I have a pair of shorts that I am so close to fitting in and I refuse to buy new shorts until I lose this weight! Same with my jeans, and it's funny because I think the ones I'm wearing ares like a size or two to big so I get a saggy butt if I don't wear a belt lol! I miss shopping!!!
my eats:
breakfast: 1/2 c honeybunch of oats with 1/2 cup 1% milk. Lots of coffee and creamer!
lunch: going to make some meatballs with cheese and some salad
dinner: cheese ravioli, salad and maybe some bread....
snacks: protien shake, Greek yogurt, and string cheese
cal: 1153 c: 109 p: 82 could be better but dinner and breakfast didn't help....
v: soon
w: working on it
e: did my group pt yesterday. I did better with keeping up with the "regulars" ran around the whole building wich is about half a mile. Last time I started to walk. Pretty proud of myself. But this morning I woke up so sore! So I'm not sure if I'm going back today or just do the elliptical. We shall see how the rest of the day goes.
have a great day guys!
Grrrrrr I am envious of your NorCal weather! Awesome job on running half a mile. I am up to running 1 minute each time I am on the treadmill. Sounds like nothing but I still feel proud :) That's awesome that you are sore - it means the group class kicked your butt!
I think I have had over 100 g of protein ONCE. You do a great job with menu planning!
