Nasty taste in my mouth...

Ok, I had surgery on April 10th. I am eating small amounts of different soft foods. I have had this nasty taste in my mouth since day one after surgery (or it seems). It doesn't matter how much I brush my teeth or what I eat, it is still there. I even tried chewing a piece of sugar-free gum... nothing changes it... and it isn't pleasant. Has or did anyone else have this problem? I am wondering what it could be and why it won't go away. BLAH!

Surgery Date: 4/10/14 HW-279 SW-270 CW-144 GW-140

I also had this issue.  Mine also made my breath terrible.  I had this for about 2 months.  I am currently 6 months post op and it is completely gone.  My doc did not seem to concerned and said it shouldn't last long.

I had asked my surgeon at my last appt about the nasty taste that just didn't go away, he said it is a result of all the medications during surgery that is in the iv, and pain meds. Thankfully the anesthesia meds do get out of your system and the nasty taste leaves.
