I love Emerald Cocoa Almonds and Cinnamon Almonds 100 calorie packs. I buy the pre-packaged ones so I do not overeat. LOL!

DCgirl, I am obsessive about MFP too.

“Let someone love you just the way you are – as flawed as you might be, as unattractive as you sometimes feel, and as unaccomplished as you think you are. To believe that you must hide all the parts of you that are broken, out of fear that someone else is incapable of loving what is less than perfect, is to believe that sunlight is incapable of entering a broken window and illuminating a dark room.”― Marc Hack

I love the new pink pants Emily! My hubby thinks an alien abducted me because I used to hate shopping and bright colors and now I LOVE both! The brighter the color the better. Today I have on a bright blue 3/4 sleeve sweater and yesterday I wore a bright orange T-shirt. I really think having clothes that fit well is important, even though it's a bother when you are losing. People notice your weight loss more and that is great motivation!

Thanks, karen!  I find that I have transfer addiction to shopping as well!  And it feels fun to wear hot pink pants.  I can tell you I never have before so this is different for me.  I agree that it's important to have well-fitting clothes!!!

I hope you like them!  Remember, rinse them in a colander under water for a minute, and then I boil them for a minute or two on the stove or in the microwave.  Then smother them in sauce.  I get a lot of joy from them - although I can tell they are not actual noodles, they feel like noodles and sometimes I don't want to eat 3 oz of ground turkey sauce with no base.  Check back in tomorrow and let us know how they were!

Hi everyone!  Great post yesterday and today Emily!  Wicked outfit, loving the pink pants! Next time I go shopping I have on my wish list some bright coloured capris!!

My Nut/Dietitian absolutely recommend 3 meals and two snacks.  So that is what I have been following since about four months post op, prior to that I just did the three meals a day.

I am more than happy to share with anyone two Adobe pdf files I have, one is the "Weight Loss Surgery Cookbook for Dummies" and the other is my Centre's "Eating for Health After Gastic Bypass Surgery" it is very comprehensive and has lots of goodies and info in it.  If you want to pm me and send me your email address happy to share both if you are interested. Please note my centre is from Canada and a lot of you on here are Americans so it may or may not apply to you what is in the booklet and of course EVERY centre is different so please if you want to check it out please don't get mad at me if it's "different" than your plan, but its a good read as it has menu suggestions and going out to restaurant suggestions, vitamins, complications etc.

Years ago when I tried Weigh****chers they told us a mantra that stuck with me: Beware of BLTs!! (BLTs = BITES, LICKS and TASTES)!! So when tracking we must be accountable for everything we put in our mouths, no sense lying to yourself you are the one you are going to hurt in the long run, not us here on OH.

5.5 months post op

B: one cup of black coffee and one cup of unsweetened almond milk with two scoops of generic chocolate protein powder

L: 4 oz of tandoori chicken breast and 2 tablespoons of mixed greens with hot sauce (odd I know but it was yummy)

D: 4 oz of grilled chicken breast on the bbq and 1/2 cup of grilled orange bell pepper on bbq

S: one swiss babybel and 100 gms of Yoplait Source Vanilla fat free yogurt

Stats: 635 calories  21 carbs  93 protein

Water: tons, doing great today

Exercise: 70 brisk walk at lunch and will take dogs out for a walk/jog when I get home

Vitamins: all done just one more set of calcium and D to go

Have a great one all!

Hello friends! I am one month post op and have lost a total of 30lbs. This includes 14lbs preop liquid diet and 16lbs post op. I am losing slower than most here but I am losing! Already I am feeling so much better. Love hearing what everyone is eating what you are up to! Got a little overzealous last week with walking so had to rest due to knee pain but I am back at it again. Mostly walking but also riding my bike.

Thursday I meet with my NUT and surgeon and will be advanced from pureed to soft solid foods. Looking forward to that! My NUT also does not like the snacks. I have not been eating any snacks but I'm still getting used to eating my meals and getting the protein in.  Here is my food diary for the day.

You're looking really cute DC! I love those pink pants too.
