Numbness and Tingling

So I have been dealing with an infection at one of my surgical incisions. I have previously been hospitalized with MRSA infections so they put me on Bactrim DS and Doxy Cycl. I started getting numbness to the point of pain in my left leg. I looked up the side effects of the two antibiotics and this one was listed under Bactrim. So I told the doctor at my visit Monday and he said to stop taking it. This was early in the morning and I hadn't had any since Sunday.

So now this morning I get the same numbing and pain in the same spot. So now I am thinking that this may very well be something else. I have placed a call into the surgeon and we will see what he says. But just wondering if any of you have had this and what caused it?

Surgeon is sending me in for lab work and having me see my primary care physician.
