What's on the menu today, RNYers?
I find that I get a new piece each week. For instance this week I returned an item on Monday, notified them of the return, and it looks like I'll be receiving my new package on Friday (according to the tracking info they send). This is a pretty standard turn around time for me. For what its worth, I was a total non dress wearer, but as I'm losing weight I've been putting dresses in my closet (esp. the maxi dresses) and the one I received I love. Its so comfy and cute and I get tons of compliments on it, plus I love that I get to send it back as soon as it gets to big and just put the smaller size in my closet. So GB is helping me to be a bit more brave with my fashion choices, esp. b/c I know if I hate it I can just send it right back. I'm looking at it as a tool to adjust my style as I lose weight, since I pretty much only wore black with blousy tops pre-surgery.
Hey guys! I forced myself to go to the gym last night too.... It felt good but boy am I sore today! Aunt flow is visiting today so I'm going to take a day off. Hubby suggested leavening a day early for disneyland next week so I'm excited but I am a planner so it threw off my packing plans lol.
My eats for today:
breakfast: 2 ham and swiss bites and some hashbrowns. Coffee and creamer
lunch: turkey meatballs with some cheese and sauce on top with a salad
dinner: tri tip tacos
snacks throughout the day: string cheese, protein shake with milk, Greek yogurt for dessert
my totals: cals: 1104 carb 73 protein: 101. Woohoo another day above 100!
W: working on it. Another hot one today so will be drinking, drinking.......

Well I have housework and sewing that has been put off for awhile to keep me busy today. Have a great day!
Sooo, I'm back among the living. And I've missed you guys! I caught some sort of bug, apparently, and have been knocked out of everything for the last five days or so. It's all kind of hazy, I think I started feeling bad before last weekend, but the last few days I've done very little except sleep. And some treadmill. And I did go to the gym once to meet with my trainer to learn some new exercises, but that's been about all I've had the energy for. My doctor basically said "Well, it looks like flu, but there's been no flu reported in the area lately so I dunno." Great, thanks doc! So I tried to keep up with fluids and a little mild exercise and ended up losing about 4 pounds, but that is NOT the way I'd like to have done it, LOL! Thankfully at this point I'm feeling MUCH better and will be able to get back to my daily routine, which is a good thing: I seriously need a nail fill and we need groceries in the house! I doubt I'll be posting with my previous frequency for a while, but at some point I'll catch up.
For today, morning vitamins are done and the rest are on track. Water is a little light, but I'll catch up. For exercise I'll head to the gym in a bit to do the new strength training exercises I learned on Tuesday, yesterday was a cardio/core day. And the menu (it's not pretty, but I'm just not hungry at all and forcing myself to take in what little I have been):

Pam we have SOOO missed you! I think it was Anny, yesterday commented "I miss Pam and her positivity!". So welcome back! So glad to see you are among the living! Sara has been absent as well...I hope she is feeling ok. Seems like the flu is definitely going around. Maybe you are Patient Zero in St. Louis lol. I am impressed that you made it on the treadmill and to your trainer while being zonked out. That's pretty freaking amazing. Welcome back welcome back welcome back!
Emily! /pounce /hugs I've missed you too, girl. Patient Zero...not sure that's an honor I'd like, LOL!
It's good to be back among the living, indeed.
Oh, and did I say /hugs yet?

Love the new outfit Em! Looks so cute. Missed you guys yesterday as my tablet was being stupid. My son helped me restart it so we are good now. My doctor too allows drinking right up until eating, which seems to make sense to me. Post op nearly 21 months and maintaining at 120. B 1/2 c steel cut oats with nuts and 1/2 banana with peanut butter L small cheeseburger with no bun-not the best but best I could do where I was S whole grain crackers with peanut butter D 31/2 oz rib eye and 1/2 c green beans S 3/4c Greek yogurt with nuts. On track with vitamins and liquids. Exercise 30 minutes done on treadmill with 20 minutes at 4.4 mph and 10 minutes at 4.5 mph. Will do 20 minutes on the bike later too. Also got some walking done restocking at the food pantry today. Have a great day everybody!
Thanks, Karen! Seems like you do a lot of volunteer work :) That's awesome. I remember I saw a post once where people introduced themselves (on OH) and said what they did and a really high percentage had helping vocations (nurses, teachers, caregivers, child psychologists, volunteers, etc.). Maybe this is a good theme for one of our posts one day - would be interesting to see! And for the record I don't think a cheeseburger without a bun is bad :)
That's a fun idea Emily! Maybe one day you'll make it your secondary topic of the day - (re)introduce yourself to the group - I know little pieces about people but it would be fun to read where everyone lives, what their jobs are, interests, etc.

First off em your looking great! I love a good peplum but always feel that my boobs end up stealing the entire show bc they are so accentuated. Maybe I'll have to retry now that I've shed some lbs plus chest volume.
So I'm about 2.5 months out and almost 60lbs down. Starting to worry about hair loss too. Queenb I hope yours gets better and slows down
