Male Opera Critics Fat-Shame Female Opera Star

On the heels of the note from Member Services about the Round Mound of Rebound's remarks about women's bodies, take a look at this also. Opera singer Tara Erraught, while by all accounts a wonderful singer, is deemed by male critics to be somehow less of a performer based solely on her weight/appearance. Rather than comment on her vocal technique and artistry, critics instead devoted their precious column inches to discussion of her figure. Nevermind the fact that she is actually lovely, with womanly curves! What in the world is it that makes people feel entitled to comment on a performer's body when her voice and acting ability are her most important assets? And let's think back, how many people complained about Pavarotti's size, even while he played leading man roles over and over again during his career? (Here's a hint: precious few ever did.)
