What's on the menu today, RNYers? Happy Friday!
I think your plan is a good one Pam. If you are really frustrated and uncomfortable with what she has you doing you will not stick with it. You need to find something that you love and will not want to miss. When you see her next tell tell her just what you wrote here and have her revise your workout. If you are having lots of pain and discomfort you are not helping anything. Just keep reminding yourself where you have come from and not how you compare to others. Oh,and speaking of planks, when I do them at home my one cat sits on my back sometimes. An extra workout!
Thanks, Karen! I'm definitely going to talk about specifics with my trainer and let her know that some changes will have to be made.
The only one of our cats I can picture sitting on my back while I plank is the heaviest one, of course...I think that would be like the straw that breaks the camel's back, LOL!

Good morning all, it looks like it will be a nice weekend here as well and I'm looking forward to it. I don't have much planned, which is pretty nice as well!
Em, YES! MFP makes recipes so easy, I've been using that feature for a while and love, love, love it. My only problem is getting the servings correct. Like I made this Sausage and Veggie bake a week or two ago and of course the serving size was much too big for me, so I made it, then had to figure out how many servings I would get, then go back and edit. Not a huge deal, but can be challenging to get the correct number.
Had a fun day as the local celebrity visiting with about 500 elementary schoolers. This morning 5th graders at a different school took me down a peg as they starred vacantly at my while I talked LOL. Too cool for school!

Ugh 5th graders! That is when they start to be mean and form cliques, right? I hate that reading isn't considered "cool". I have always loved reading! I am glad you had rock star status yesterday!!!
Yay for the turkey pepperoni! Though they are salty as hell, aren't they so good and crispy?
I can't believe I didn't know how to add recipes from a URL into MFP. I have been doing it in SUCH a convoluted and crazy way. But now I updated the app and the little wrench icon next to a meal disappeared so how do I copy a meal from one day to another?
Hmmm...I still have the little wrench, so I'm not sure! I mostly add my food from my computer though, so I don't play with the app too much.

Happy Friday Indeed!! Morning Emily, Pam, Anny, Karen, Louise, 3BH and any others who join today. Gorgeous weekend here today as well, warm and sunny, YAHOO! Great idea on changing up the menu every now and then. I love that. I love a lot of the same things but also love new food, new tastes and love trying new things! Love the salmon cake idea, sounds so yummy! And GOOD LUCK on getting first place in the office party dip-off! I would vote for ya!
I have been MIA for a few days, sorry everyone, I am BEYOND SWAMPED at work, yesterday I worked 630am to 9pm and was back in the office today for 630am! I am pretty tired! Its all because hubby and I are going away on vacation for two weeks. We are driving to Boston on Sunday and spending some time there with his extended family and then we are driving to Martha's Vineyard for a cousin's wedding and vacation time. Rented a house on Martha's Vineyard right on the water, so excited!! I will try to post but I might not have internet or just might be too busy. I am STRESSED though. Getting ready for vacation in regards to work is crazy, hence all the long hours. And this is the first time I have travelled since surgery and I LOVE my ROUTINES! I am kinda lost with out them. So not knowing what the next two weeks have in store for food is freaking me out. I also will be seeing a few hundred of my husbands extended family at this wedding and they have not seen me since 2007 at my Father in Law's funeral when I was morbidly obese. This is going to be hard, you all know I hate the attention!!! And confession time... when I get stressed out I don't eat. I tend to turn to coffee as my fuel/food. I know that's bad but I totally lose my appetite when I am stressed. When I am depressed I eat like there is no tomorrow, I am so governed by my emotions if you can't tell. So I have not been eating a lot the last few days, working like a dog, making lists on top of lists for what to pack, bring, and get ready. Not to mention I am hoping to do some damage on shopping while in Boston, I get to experience some of the awesome stores you all talk about, I am EXCITED about that! I have been keeping up with my exercise in the evenings hiking with the dogs its a way to clear my mind and try to de-stress. So really looking forward to getting out of work today at 2pm and getting home and clearing up some last minute things for vacation and then taking the dogs to the Dog Boarders. Sorry for sounding whinny, its just a bit overwhelming. Emily and the other ladies who travel regularly you are my hero's how you get ready to travel and just go with the flow, it amazes me! Teach me your secrets!
I tried a new Syntrax Matrix flavour this morning, (new to me) it's Banana's & Cream - TO DIE FOR!!! YUMMY! Its very sweet but tasted just like a Banana Popsicle, it was so good!!
Have a great weekend everyone. I will miss you all but will try really really hard to post! And will for sure post some pics of my trip along the way... BRING ON THE SEAFOOD!!!

Hey Daisy! Your trip sounds sooooo fun! I have never been to Martha's Vineyard. OMG you need to do some serious shopping damage. I mean, Boston can be expensive but even TJ Maxx might be fun for you :) I totally understand what you mean about being off routine. I have found that while traveling, I just make myself make good food choices. But in order to keep my protein levels up, I have to bring shake powders and a blender bottle with a metal ball inside. Since you are renting a house, you can buy good groceries, which is a plus. I think your daily activity level is so high, you will just naturally get those steps in!
If you plan protein-forward meals, even if you feel yourself not eating and just want to drink coffee, maybe you can tell yourself that your body needs chicken/shrimp/tofu/whatever to be healthy. Not eating protein should not be an option for you :) I know you are going to do great!!!
Oh, and you are definitely going to get a TON of comments at the wedding. Not to stress you out, but I saw your recent pics on your profile and you look so super hot, people are gonna be all over you! Try to smile and realize they are commenting because you do look phenomenal, and take it all in. Though it makes you uncomfortable, think about all the hard work you have done to get where you are. And don't worry about the collapsable chair at the wedding caving in, and dance all night long in your heels :) There are many pluses to not being MO at a wedding :)
And for the record you totally don't sound whiny! That is what we are here for! For support and inspiration. Don't ever feel bad about coming to this forum and saying what you are eating, what you are doing, what you are thinking, what is stressing you out, etc. We all do it!
Send pics! You at the wedding, all the fresh seafood, the house on Cape Cod...we would love to see it!
