Dilemma
I use Body Fortress for my protein shakes. You can get them at Walmart, Meijers, Krogers and have seen it at Walgreens, but is higher priced.
Actually you can eat too much protein and if you do your kidney's have much more work to do, hence the large number of kidney stones in the wls population. Never overeat your protein grams you are supposed to reach and don't continue to eat if you have, 800 calories at your stage is very high. At nine years out I eat 1000 calories 5x per week and more on weekends.
I am surprised at the caloric amounts for the day - but I know those on protein shakes can take in more. My doc didn't have me on 800 calories per day until 8 months out. I was on a couple hundred by the end of month 2. I was never on protein shakes as per my doc - all my protein came from food. You don't get it all in the beginning but work up to it later. I would have been happy with the protein intake and foregone the extra calories. At 13 yrs out I still have sedentary days when 800 calories is enough for me. I usually do 1000-1200 depending on my day and really strenuous activity days I up that number even more. You can check with your doc or figure out what works best for you.
