Hi OH friends!

I am baaaack...loved reading up on this post while I was away, even if I could rarely post.  I know it's been a little slower recently but let's keep on keeping on, since people do say it's helpful to get food ideas and I know a small group of us rely on this for accountability :)

I did post last night about my trip overseas.  I was down another 2 lbs today so I guess I lost 6 lbs in the two weeks I was traveling.  I feel good about that.  I was super active, but my calories bordered on 1,000-1,1000 most days.  It's very hard to do less while eating out all meals.  Now that I am back I am trying to stick to 800-900.

On to todays eats:

B: 1.5 scoops of Click protein powder in a coffee pre workout, breakfast meeting now with egg whites, bacon, cheese in a container

L: Half a scoop of tuna salad from downstairs deli (no groceries as of yet)

D: 1/4 of a Chipotle burrito bowl of chicken, guac, tomatillo salsa, peppers/onions, and a little sour cream and cheese

E: Did almost 3 miles on the treadmill this morning and 10 minutes of strength training

W: 32 oz down the hatch, plus 10 oz protein shake.  Woot woot.  I've been adding Miralax to my shakes too which helps :)

V: Now I will take them

Totals are about 800 calories, 68 g protein, 45 g carbs

What's on your menu today, RNYers?  Glad to be back!  EM

DcGirl- Well thank you!!!! ;) Its getting harder though but I'm still pushing through it. The brand I eat is Johnsonville Turkey Sausage w/Cheddar. It's 50% less fat, Low Cals 120 per Link, Protein 10g. Healthier alternative to the good old "Hotdog."

Glad to have you back Em and I loved your post on your trip. I too didn't realize how much I had been limited by my weight until I wasn't anymore. I am so thankful every day for my surgery! I too appreciate this post and use it to help me plan and be accountable. I've got a busy day today with errands, laundry and food pantry this morning so I already have my exercise done to make sure I got it in. Oh and I am wearing Capri's and a short sleeve shirt this morning which I consider a victory! Last summer I wore long pants and 3/4 sleeves all summer because I felt self conscious about my saggy skin on my thighs and arms. My hard work is paying off as my arms are more toned now and don't look quite as bad. Most of all though,I have realized that even though I will never look like a model,I do look better than most people even with the extra skin. Yeah me!

Yay - good for you!  No need to hide your arms and legs!  I mean, saggy skin is what it is, right?  I figure it's too hot to stay covered up so I just rock the bat wings.  People will notice your smile and confidence before your sagging skin so I am glad you have decided to bare it all!  Also I know Jillian Michaels is kicking your butt and toning your arms which has to feel good!
