I have always had mine every month on time. I had one 1 week before surgery but have not had one since. How long does it take to return?

Mine was like clockwork before surgery and still like clockwork after.  However, my SIL had surgery the same day as I did and hers is much more unpredictable now.

How old are you?  Is 65 your birth year?  If so, 49 is the average age of menopause.   If not, take a pregnancy test stat!

When did you do the pregnancy test and bloodwork? Did it have a number for the bloodwork or did it just say negative? Maybe it was too soon? I would go back to OBGYN and talk to them about the absence of periods. They might be able to do bloodwork. While it could also be menopause, I know that women become very fertile right before they completely go into menopause. So the pregnancy could be entirely possible too. That is my life before surgery. I could go and have one every few months, and then all of sudden not have one for 6 months to a year. Let me tell you the last two years have been so difficult trying to conceive. Good luck!

I took a pregnancy test last week and said positive so I called my OBGYN and I had blood work hcg and it only said negative, if I was I would be 3 months along by now , my stomach is not hard. I will take one again because I had a 2 pack so I minus well. My body menstral cycle is all messed up. Like I said I always had my period before this. I just don't know. I will call my OBGYN and ask her if she wants to see me so we know what is going on. Do you think since I had the surgery that is making me go into menopause ? maybe there is a test to tell. Don't give up I was 47 when I had my baby and was told I probably would never get pregnant due to my age and weight I was 250lbs when I got pregnant. Good luck, when you least expect it that's when it happens.

I think the surgery itself affects your cycle period. I believe there is blood work that can tell them what is going on. Women also go through annovulatory cycles at least once a year. This may be what it is and the Dr can get it going again. Of course it could always be something more serious as well, that is why you should have the Dr appointment just to check things out. Sorry for taking so long to get back. Crazy busy end to the week.

I finally got it at my 7 month after surgery. I didn't want it but I knew I should have it because I did before surgery.

Mine came three weeks after, and it has been pure torture. Been miserable all week. It was probably an annovulatory cycle, and may very well be going into menopause. At least you don't have to worry about it any more.
