YAY FF!  Congrats on 50 lbs!  So now is when you will start to get comments and questions.  Well at least that is when I did.  I swear, it was a little depressing to lose 50 lbs and have no one say anything.  But I did get some new clothes that fit me and around the 50-60 lb mark people started exclaiming about my loss.  It was a fun feeling.

Good for you also on the walking, walking, walking.  I am not exercising today and will only get 5,000 steps in.  Terrible exercise day for me.  It's also a thousand degrees out which makes me NOT want to walk anywhere outside beyond what I have already done!

I am getting lots of comments. I think I need some new clothes though. I'm feeling pretty cute too :)

I wouldn't want to walk anywhere outside in the DC humidity and heat. SoCal gal for life!

Definitely go shopping!  I don't know what size you are but Anny and I have been loving Gwynnie Bee.  I call them my rental clothes.  I also found some cute cheap stuff at JC Penney's.  Nothing I will keep forever - but $17 tops and $30 maxi dresses are fine for now :)

FF you need some new clothes, even if they come from goodwill or resale shops. They help you feel thinner and better and always motivated me to work even harder. Plus when your clothes fit well people will notice your loss more!

WOW Angela - that is an awesome menu for 1+ years post-op.  I sometimes worry that I am at almost 1000 calories now not even seven months out...definitely eat more than I used to.  And I see how low your calories are.  Are you in maintenance or still losing?

I had that same salad last night for dinner.  YUM.  My friend made a homemade dressing of vinegar, olive oil, lemon, garlic, and dijon mustard.  YUM.

That salad dressing sounds wonderful!

I'm still losing.. I was very heavy when I started and I would still like to lost another fifty pounds or so. I TRY (doesn't always work) to make the healthiest choices possible for myself. My calories do increase on the days where I work out with my trainer, I also increase my carbs on those days, my body needs it. But I wouldn't worry if I were you, as long as you're getting plenty of protein and still losing (if that's what your aiming for) then I think your calorie numbers are great! :)

if you have MyFitnessPal please feel free to add me, I try my best to log daily and every detail of what I eat. GAngela85

Same for me on all counts.  I was 351 day of surgery and still have 50 lbs or so to go.  I try to make the best choices too - I haven't cheated and eaten any bread or pasta or rice...or any desserts (not even a bite) but I have had some tortilla chips while at a Mexican restaurant.  I also housed a bag of Skinny Pop in 3 servings (not the 4.5 they say it is) so I decided I can't have that around lol.  I am always above 60 g of protein per day, usually closer to 80...but I do see my calories creep up so I just like to see how other people are doing too.  I don't know your stats but sounds like you are doing awesome!

You're doing great! I've had my share of cheats, especially when I go on vacation! But, where I differ from before is that I hop right back on track the next day (or the day I get back from vacation!) I tend to keep my protein slightly higher, usually between 100-110grams. It's rare that I'm lower than 100. I suppose if I didn't want it so I high to could cut out protein shakes altogether, but since I'm still trying to lose I'm keeping with what's worked for me! I was about 460 the day of my surgery, so I'm very pleased with all of the progress I've made. Weight loss is definitely slowing down, but it's still steady, so again, no complaints!
