What's on the menu today, RNYers? Wednesday (but it feels like Thursday!)

Good morning everyone...

This is my first time posting on this thread.  I have really enjoyed reading it on the days I can jump on OH.  Thank you for the inspiration, ideas, and perspective.

It's a beautiful day in Denver. That is something we can say a lot in the summer here.

Time Since Surgery: Just under 3 months...7/7 is 3 months!

B: Chike coffee protein with 1% milk

L: Laughing Cow Light Cheese rolled in Boar's Head turkey

S: some raw almonds

D: Probably left over beef tenderloin and some veggies

After dinner snack: SF tropical popcicle (love them!)

Water: Working on 100 oz...usually get it in no problem

Vitamins: First batch done...rest ready to go

Exercise: 45 minute walk after work before the kids get home. I live in a pretty hilly area so incline and wrist weights maximize my walk when I can squeeze it in.

Have a fabulous day!

~Rachel

Hey Rachel, glad you piped in! It's always fun to read some new menus. I'm so jealous that you can tolerate deli meat, I'm just about 4 months out and it still doesn't agree with me!

I'm also totally addicted to SF Tropical pops! Love, love, love them!

Hey Anny!  Yes...I decided it was time to join the party!  I feel very fortunate that I have a low drama pouch.  It is so bizarre how we are all so different.  It looks like you come up with some great food choices, even if deli meat cannot be one of them right now.

So fun to watch your success!

I'm scared they are going to get rid of the SF tropical popcicles...may have to start hoarding them in the basement freezer!

Good afternoon all, day 3 of science camp and we're going strong. The program is held in the basement of my Library in our Community Room, so I feel like I'm in a dark, cool hole all day long LOL.

The great side effect of the craziness at work is that I'm getting SOOOOO many steps. I did walk this morning, but still, I'm just under 9,000 steps at noon. Yippe!

Em, can't wait to hear more about your new job and it's adventures. Is tomorrow your last day at the current job?

Time since surgery: 16 weeks

B: 4oz cottage cheese, 10ish almonds

S: coffee with creamer, Nectar lemon tea protein shake

L: Morningstar farms Tomato, Basil Pizza burger - OMG guys, this thing is AMAZING. I had one yesterday for lunch and everyone within smelling distance of the microwave was all over me - it has a pizza-esque flavor and little bits of cheese in it that gooey and yummy. The stats are pretty good too - Calories 120, Protein 10, Carbs 7

S before Y: Babybel Lite and .5oz Fiber Gourmet Cheese Crackers

D: another day, another lasagna cup and strawberry "ice cream"

S: Nectar protein shake and it's so damned hot I'm sure I'll want a Popsicle

TOTALS: Calories 834, Protein 96, Carbs 64, Fat 25

V: Oops, forgot to bring my lunchtime calcium

W: drinking like a fish

E: walked this morning, tons of steps throughout the day, Aqua Jog tonight

I'd like to point out how INSANE it feels to me that I just listed THREE things under E. Who AM I? Even ONE thing under exercise would have been unlikely just 4 months ago. So amazing.

Hey everyone!  Gorgeous day here in Northern MN.  Breakfast was a protein shake, not usual for me, but had an early day.  I'm 3.5 weeks out, so a shake works I guess.  Lunch will be zucchini "noodles" with ground turkey marinara and dinner will be lean Roast Beef deli meat with a little Swiss cheese and mushrooms.  I am blessed with a very non-fussy pouch.  As long as it's soft and I chew a ton, it all works so far.  Vitamins yes.  Water on track (actually iced Jasmine Green tea) and new hot tea from Teavana, my new go to favorite thing ever!  Exercise will be a walk to DQ with Oliver the dog.  My son works there, no treat for me, but we are a pet friendly town and they sell little sundaes with ice cream and 2 milk bones for dogs!  Oliver loves to see Will at work and have his treat.  It's probably a nice 40 minute walk to and from the house.  Have fun everyone!

Sounds like a fun walk! Tell Oliver the dog that Lily the dog says hi and wishes she had a DQ to go to!

Hey everyone. I'm trying to change things up at home and be a better SAHM. I have gotten in a bad habit of getting lazy and letting things go. So now I have set up a routine and am waking up before liv, which allows me to get in a cup of coffee and a shower and wake up! I'm going to try and jump on here before breakfast. I need this post! I eat so much better after I have posted!

My eats for the day:

breakfast: scrambled egg with some ham, mushroom, alittle bit of bacon crumble and cheese. I toasted up some bread but was too full to eat it. Coffee and creamer

lunch: we had salad bar night last night so going to make myself a yummy salad

dinner: breakfast for dinner! Pancakes with sasuage

snacks: enjoying some yummy watermelon (alivia has super powers and can always pick out the best ones!) and cottage cheese, string cheese, a protein shake before the gym, and vanilla Greek yogurt with some cinnamon just bunches mixed in. (Maybe some mini chocolate chips too!)

totals: cals-1096 carbs-69 protein-87

w: 16oz down need to drink more!

V: first batch done

e: going to run on the treadmill

i have most of my "chores" done so I hope I can get some sewing in today! I have baby quilt to work on for a baby shower next week! Nothing like waiting till the last minute! I also want to make liv a simple dress for the 4th.... Wish me luck! Have a great day everyone.

Hey Janessa, glad to see you on the post today! I'm not a SAHM but I can totally empathize - I spend a lot of time with SAHMs and totally know your struggle is super common. Hopefully this post will help you can accountable to yourself and to us.
