Revision from sleeve to RNY

Hi everyone !! Just looking for someone that has been in the same bolt I'm in. I was sleeved in 2007 I was 256 lbs. lost down to 170. I'm back to between 205-210. I'm anemic and have acid reflux. I'm scheduled on Aug,9th in Tijuana Dr.valenzuela to be resleeved if my pouch is not stretched they will then go to bypass. I have been hearing that my reflux may go away. I'm on iron tablets. I had hysterectomy to help with that. I also have been hearing that with revision with whatever I go with there is a chance I will not loose weight. Went through surgery very well first time . But I think I failed the sleeve the first time. I crave ice with the anemia but seams every time I eat ice I am hungry afterwards. Anybody ever have this. Any advice would be greatly appreciated..

I am going from sleeve to rny on Tuesday.  I hope to lose weight with mine.  I am doing it mainly for the Gerd.  So I don't have answers but I wish you luck.

I was revised from sleeve to RNY. I have lost 50lbs in 3 months. I feel this is very slow. I had lost more than that before my sleeve in 2 months. I lost much faster with the sleeve. I am doing everything right. I hope it' s because I have already lost nearly 175 lbs. I still  have 225 or so to go so I am really hoping this second round works! Good luck to you as well! They found out I had a hernia which caused reflux. it was fixed during surgery. A hernia is common with the sleeve and common among the obese. I am not anemic but my sister who had the RNY by itself. She has done well with the RNY and lost a lot.

I had lapband in 2007 and had revision from band to rny in 2010.  When I had the band I was 270 and got down to 220 but then it slowly crept back up.  In 2010, when I went in for revision, I was 250 lbs.  Doing the revision was the best decision I've every made.  In my first year I dropped 100 lbs and the last few years following another 30.  In all I've lost a total of 130 lbs and feel great!! And with RNY, you eat a big bowl of ice cream and you will regret it!!  I still can not eat much sweet at all with out feeling terrible!  Good luck to you!  If you follow your doctors instructions you will not regret you dicison and will see the pounds fall off!

I had the sleeve Dec 2011 and lost 250.  Weight crept back up so I did the revision to RNY on 7/22/14.
