I already asked for advice on the colonoscopy thanks for replies. Now I find out at the same time they want to (don't know medical name) stick a lighted tube down my throat and check everything in that end. I had RNY 2006 never any complications and I am so worried they will mess up my gastric by pass. I have no problems they are doing this because of low iron. The are worried there is internal bleeding but I feel great...... I am 67 yrs old

It's called an endoscopy and it's common that they do both ends at the same time ;)

I had one recently and they knew I'd had RNY and I kept reminding them, even as the anesthesia was flowing...they assured me all would be fine, and, it was.

Don't worry about it....having them both done will save you a second trip.

Thank you so much. My Mom died from a colonoscopy 4 years ago and it all scares me to death especially with me having gastric bypass.
