Hi Christy,

I think it is normal to feel that way but what this surgery taught me is that I can't eat my feelings...try to think about how stuffing food in and eating like crazy is not helping you.  Every day is a big effort to get this weight off and I wish I had lost weight prior to surgery so I could have less to lose now.  The less you weigh when they cut into you, the safer you probably are.  So things I do now to avoid just eating when I am bored/lonely/anxious etc is find other activities.  Take a walk.  Read a book.  Knit.  Call your grandma.  Make an online photo album from a vacation.  Etc.  The more you lose now, the less you have to lose later :)

Good luck!

It is indeed    I love to see people who are successful because it's so encouraging to those of us who still have a lot of weight to lose.  You and Nikke are superstars

OMG I don't put myself in Nikke's camp but I am beyond flattered that you think I am!  I look at Cappy, LuvstoCruise, Grim, Nikke, AngelaItaliana...my god, they inspire me!  I tried an OA meeting last night and they are all about "one day at a time" whereas I feel like I am still constantly obsessing over my menu and exercise and tracking and logging and weighing.  That's what works for me but it sure would be nice to be "normal" lol.

Every word I read I kept thinking "This is the post of a person who will most likely have long term success."  Not that you are doing everything 100%, I don't anyone does or could, but you "get it" and you are doing all the smart things to make it work for you.

I have no doubt you will reach your goal and probably beyond.  I am really impressed at your exercise level.

Keep up the good work.

Thank you, Ladytazz!  From your mouth to whoever rules the universe's ears :)  I do hope that I can remain vigilant and aware.  I believe I can, but there are no guarantees in life.  I do think reading others' posts on here (like yours, and your revision story) help me immensely!  I am so appreciative of the support!
