I enjoyed crossing my legs BUT I enjoyed it to the point that is caused a nerve in my leg to pinch.  Numbness & pins and needles always.  Physical Therapy will gets things back to normal but I just want us all to think about it so you can avoid it.  In 10 days I will celebrate my 1 year anniversary of my surgery date.  Best choice I've made in years!  140 lbs down

All things in moderation. 😁

Hmmm... I hear you on that. As someone who has suffered 3 DVTs, I was told that crossing my legs was the worst way to sit. It is such a habit though, very hard to break!

Congratulations on your wonderful success. :)

I apologize, I just now got the notification that you had asked a question!

DVT = Deep Vein Thrombosis. Blood clot. VERY dangerous.

And here I sit with my legs crossed anyway. lol

Way to go with your success!  I'm with ya on crossing your legs.  I had both hips replaced, one in Jan., the other in Feb. of same year.  Crossing my legs in a restriction that I will have for the rest of my life.  It was difficult to not cross them at first, however, now I don't even think about it until I see people with their legs crossed.....the problems they may be causing is tough to watch.

Answering for Karen.  DVT is deep vein thrombosis.

I'm still pre-surgical, but I DREAM about being able to cross my legs.  I can't even imagine what it would be like for my thighs not to touch - they've been together so long, I'm afraid they might get lonely.    One day . . .
