I found the Syntrax Nectars to be the least disgusting.  I still don't like them, but they're better than anything else I tried.  I mix mine with Propel, and it makes them palatable.  I have to admit that I'm glad that I only have to drink two a day to get all my protein now, since I'm getting more from my food.

If you go to Bariatricfoodie.com you will find more ways of changing up the taste of your protein drink than you can shake a stick at. It is worth your time to check it out!

I love my protein shake - I use Muscle Milk LIGHT - Vanilla cream, 1 scoop with 1 cup of 1% milk and 3 frozen strawberries (Whole from Costco) I add some crushed ice and blend in my magic bullet.  Its like a strawberry milk shake.  It comes out to about 20 grams of protein.  I get up @ 4:30 each morning so I have my shake then because the thought of solid food that early makes me nauseated.   Sometimes like this week and next week I am working very long days (14 hour days 6 days for 2 weeks) I don't always feel like eating a solid food meal - just really tired so I hit the shake again to get in protein and then off to bed and up again at 4:30.  I hit the 100 pounds lost mark by 6 months. My doctor and surgeon are happy with my blood work and my results.

Hope you find one that works well for you.

i used the atkins shakes pre-op as well as post op. They are not the highest in protein (15g) but to me they definatly taste the best and they are low carb ;) I was able to meet all my protein goals with these. I also add the milk chocolate flavor to my coffee sometimes which helps.

Agreed!  The Atkins seem to be the most palatable. The Premier Protein shakes do not do it for me, but I make it work for the 30 gm of protein. Sometimes adding extracts like chocolate, almond or coffee flavoring make them taste better.
