Terrified of exercise options

The others are right, diet is most important for weightloss, however, do not downplay the importance of being active.

While activity may or may not have much to do with your weight loss, there are numerous health benefits that come with being more active that are very important.  It should also be understood that being active does not mean you have to nearly kill yourself in exercise, simply walking has significant health benefits.  your goal should be to be as active as you can happily be.  The more often, the better the health benefits, the more intense the greater the health gains, but anything is significant and valuable. Try different things, find what works for you, swimming absolutely would be great, if you want more and can tolerate more, fins a class at a local community center, find a walking group at a mall or arena, try some home yoga or beginner workouts on DVD.  don't be scared have fun with it and amaze yourself with what you can do.

I didn't exercise much pre op and I have only exercised sporadically post op. In spite of that, and I know exercise is healthy, blah, blah, blah,I still lost and have maintained a 118# loss!so it can be done without exercising. Exercise or lack of it is. Really not anything to be terrified of anyway.

There are exercise videos that are low impact, walking on the spot and some light weights.  I use them on days I don't run/walk or do yoga.

Thank you everyone for your quick responses. You really gave me a lot to think about. I guess what scares me most is my migraines because physical exertion causes them to get much worse and I average 25 a month. I am hoping they get better with weight loss, but I also am now thinking how I wont be exerting myself as much either. I have also never considered myself a runner so congrats to all of you making some major strides. Thanks again everyone!
