My blood sugar is at an all time low!

I had RNY 2 months ago and my blood sugar has been steadily dropping.  This morning when I woke up it was 82!  Before surgery I was on medication (which I'm no longer on)  and it was in the 200 - 250 range.  I am so thankful that I was able to have this surgery.  Even though there are struggles at times, it was really the best thing I've ever done for my health.

Yea! for you! It really is about weighing the good against the bad and going for the best, Congrats at your most recent accomplishment . . . a life saving one at that!

Very cool!  I feel the same way.  Mine has not come down as fast as yours, but it's getting there.  My last A1C on Halloween was 6.6, the first time in years it was under 7!  My sugar this morning was 130, which is also lower than it has been in quite a while.  Totally agree with your last sentence!

That is fantastic to have it at 6.6.  I can't wait to see what my A1C is for my three month check up.  I hope that I am down as low as you are!  Congrats on the 130!

Congrats! It is a great feeling isn't it? That was my #1 reason to have the surgery so I was thrilled to have such quick results on my blood sugar levels. Makes all of this worth it.

It really does make it all worth it!  I have been more excited to look at my blood sugar number each morning than seeing the number on the scale.  My husband said I should stop testing, but I am excited to see the number each morning.

That is a great feeling. I had it too.  Mine was quite low when I left the hospital on no insulin.   They also took me off all my meds except one BP they cut in half, and they just took me off that one too.  I only take vitamins now.  Glad your having such a good journey.

My doctor took me off of all of my meds at my 3 week visit.  I was so excited.  Then the numbers keep dropping - it really is a great feeling!  So glad you are off your meds too!
