The Proferrin is 12 mg elemental iron. You can google it and find out a lot about it. I don't have my info with me but when my iron came back low I started the Proferrin 2 daily for 3 months and then was retested and it was great. My Dr then told me to just take one a day. That has been couple years ago and it is still right. Everyone is different but this is what worked for me. This heme iron is so much easier to take, no waiting so long between other vitamins or eating any calcium containing foods. I order online. hth
