Protein Shakes
Hello
Is Whey or Soy protein better for RNY surgery?
I am post surgery for many years and for the most part have maintained my weight loss. But I have not been good about making sure my protein intake is where it should be the last few years. I have decided to start incorporating a protein shake back into my diet to help with this. I believe that Whey was the best for absorption, but wanted to double check. I have done Unjury in the past and loved it but wanted to make sure I was on the right path of thinking since I am so many years out
Thanks
In general they recommend Whey Protein Isolate.

FYI Ensure does have a premade protein shake that is high protein. I believe it has 25 g of protein and only 5 g of sugar. They were correct that a lot of the premade stuff won't work, though...regular Ensure and Special K protein shakes, for example.
Edit: Never mind, I just realized you may have been referring to the TYPE of protein. Disregard my babbling!
