Adding carbs helped jump start loss?
I'm only three weeks out, followed every rule, got my protein, water, had about 600 calories per day etc. I stalled, hard, the second week. I got frustrated, had half of a fun sized Three Musketeers, and lost two pounds. Even with the candy, my numbers were all still in the correct range. I got re-motivated, followed all the rules, nothing. I had a little bit more carbs, lost 2 more pounds. Now, I DON'T want to sabotage myself. I didn't go pig out on candy, I had a controlled amount, staying within my requirements for protein and water, and never went above 30 grams of carbs per day. I was having about 10-12 grams of carbs regularly, but about 30 on those days. My question is, does adding a small amount of carbs help anyone else?? Was it dumb luck the scale moved on those days, or should I budget more carbs? I'm confused with my body. Again, I'm not planning on adding mashed potatoes and Hershey's kisses, but maybe not be so afraid of some appropriate amount and types of carbs here and there. When I lost weight previous to opting for surgery, my body was always a little particular, I had to have enough calories, or I didn't lose. I can't have many calories now, but it does seem that I have better success with just a slightly higher amount of carbs. Please, don't lecture me about cheating, that is not what this post is about, I just want to know if anyone else has had this experience, or some sort of related personal experience. Thanks!
My carbmaster yogurt has 4 grams of carbs. I have Oikos plain greek yogurt, zero fat has 6 grams of carbs. I don't eat yogurt everyday. I am only allowed protein shakes and one, occasionally two, "meals". Sometimes I have an egg, or deli turkey, or string cheese. My carbs mostly come from my protein shakes, and I have a few different ones that I use, including one that doesn't have any carbs at all, and one that only has 2.
If Three Musketeers were a magic weight loss food, I would have been a model, not SMO.
Every stall has a beginning and an end. Some people do foolish things, and think they are the reason the stall ends.
Quit eating junk before it becomes a habit you can't break. If you want to try magic carbs, try broccoli instead of candy.

Whoa...the Internet just broke. Grim just called a veggie magic.

Good lord, I didn't say I was going to eat the broccoli.
If I ever turn up dead, and the medical examiner says I have veggies in my stomach, they'll know it was foul play.

No. Because it affirms/perpetuates foods and behaviors that contributed to the morbid obesity in the first place. What is left for us after weight loss surgery? Nothing. The surgery is the nuclear bomb for weight loss. For some (like me), it is/was our LAST chance. It HAS to work.
Posts such as yours, confuse the issue and are not supported by medical science. It could potentially hinder someone else's weight loss.
Our pouches only have so much room. By the time protein and veggies are done (nutritionally dense foods), there is hardly room for anything else.
