I agree about the Quest chips. I like to use them as a vessel for other things...tuna salad, egg salad, chicken salad...you get the picture lol

I like a little brie and some turkey with a dab of cranberry sauce.  If you toast that baby 'til it's all melty I will love you forever.

Oh that sounds divine!  Although I'm not a big cranberry fan so maybe a bit of cherry preserve.

Favorites after WLS are any type of fish. I used to hate fish and rarely ate it and now I love it and eat it at least once a week. I would eat it more if it weren't so expensive! Post op 30 months and weight at 118.8 this morning. On track with vitamins and fluids so far. Exercise will be treadmill program 6 and 40 minutes on the bike. Here's the food plan for today: B1/2 c steel cut oats with nuts and half a banana with peanut butter L 31/2 oz baked chicken hummus and green pepper strips D 31/2 oz marinated tuna if I can find some fresh at the store in Alton and 1/2 c sweet potatoes S Greek yogurt. Have a great day everyone!

I so wish I could find the Yasso bars! Poor me lol. I used to despise anything even remotely spicy. I didn't even care for black pepper. Since surgery, the spicier the better. I keep a bottle of hot sauce & siracha (sp?) in the kitchen at work.

B: boiled egg (with hot sauce)...I planned on having two, but one of the little boogers slipped outta my hand

L: Spinach salad with strawberries, feta, pecans, green onions & Raspberry dressing (summer in a bowl!)

D: Roasted zucchini slices with homemade meat sauce, and fresh mozzarella and parm (I'll probably throw a couple of ounces of diced chicken on there because I'll never be able to eat enough of it to meet my protein needs)

S: ham & cheese roll up during the game & entirely too much coffee (don't judge lol)

V: alarms set

W: never a problem

E: It's nice out here for today (several inches of snow forecast for tomorrow) so I'll try to get in a few miles outside

Morning AV, ladies!

We are supposed to get a huge storm here today, 5-10 cm of snow and then turning to freezing rain later. oh brother!!

Fav food post RNY would have to be steak & seafood.  I seriously could eat that for three meals a day & snacks!!!! Pre surgery I was not a big meal or fish eater, I ate carbs, carbs and more carbs.  Now I hit Costco weekly to pick up their sirloin steaks and shrimp/scallops. Can't get enough of that.  I will tell you what I can't stand now post surgery, cottage cheese!  I ate a TON of that in my life pre surgery and LOVED it, then on my two week "soft food" diet I ate so much cottage cheese and apple sauce that now the smell of cottage cheese makes me ill.

Time since surgery - almost 16 months (March 15)

B: nothing - had to do fasting blood work and by the time I got back to work it was 9am (I usually eat breakfast between 6am-630am) and I am having my first "snack" at around 9am-930am  and what I need right now is COFFEE!!!

S: two cups of Irish Cream coffee with one splenda and 1% milk then 2 tbsp hummus and four Breton Garden Veggie crackers

L: One can of solid white tuna over 1/4 cup of greens with 2 tbsp Balsamic dressing and handful of raspberries

S: Protein Hot Chocolate & Costco Kirkland Beef Jerky 2oz

D: 3 oz of Sirloin steak with 1/4 green beans

S: Dannon Light & Fit Greek Yogrut Banana Cream pie & Martin's Crispy Apple Chips (7 pieces is a serving) - got these at Costco yesterday, and I am love them, a nice "crunchy" treat

Totals: 1011 calories, 114 protein, 46 carbs, 42 fat

V/W: am vitamins are done, calcium is on alarms, working on the water

Exercise: 60 minute hike with the dogs in the snow and then to the gym run on the treadmill for 5km (5km is planned will see if I do more or less)

Have a great day all!  Clocks "Spring" forward this weekend! YAY!

It's so nice to see you back around these parts!  I guess we're expecting some weather here, too.  Snow, freezing rain, blah blah blah.

I love steak, too.  I find it's one of the easier meats for me to eat.  There's a little local sports pub/grill chain around here that makes an incredible surf and turf with a 5 oz. flat iron steak, Cajun spiced shrimp and roasted vegetables.  It's on their 'healthy' menu and it's sooooo good.  I think my husband might need to take me to Tully's for dinner tonight!
