True confessions: Grazing and Prowling. What are your solutions for the hardest times?

That is good advice, and it makes me wonder if maybe my settings need to be adjusted. I think I still feel a little like I cannot get air. This is mostly a problem when I am congested, like during allergy season. But sometimes there seems to be no reason--I am just restless--but I assume the restlessness has to do with the apnea. Perhaps time for a follow up with the sleep clinic. Thanks!

This idea--of being more mindful of my own self and body--that is something I need to do more of.

If you eat a heathy protein in the morning like scrambled eggs and even a slice of bacon you will find you won't feel hungry for carbs during the day. If you start the day with a carb, then you will crave and graze all day.
I love pickled eggs so I always keep a bowl of them in the fridge. I want something to grab that's healthy that is what I go for.

Thanks, Chili. You are right about the proteins helping with cravings.
And another true confession: I have never heard of pickled eggs before. Is this a regional thing? I don't think I have ever even seen them on a grocery shelf. The idea of them makes me feel a little odd, but I will try them if I can find them. Kind of like a personal challenge.

Hard boil a dozen eggs. Get a jar or 2 of sliced pickled beets. Peel the eggs and dump everything in a Tupperware container. I add a splash of red wine vinegar. The longer they sit the better they are ..sprinkle with salt and its a great protein packed snack to grab during a craving.

I have never seen pickled beets on the grocery shelves around here either. Maybe i have been pickle blind! But my mom used to make pickled beets every year. And, she made shelves of dill pickles, and sweet pickles (colored a troublesome blue-green color), and watermelon rind pickles! Yes, as children, we had to save our watermelon rinds for Mom's pickles. I had to hope Mom cut off the bite marks of my older brothers. It is very possible that my mom still has some of her home-canned beet pickles in her basement cold storage.
Seriously, Chili, this has taken me on a very happy trip down memory lane. I do think in honor of my mother (and her grandmother, who taught her to can and preserve in the wilds of Northern Alberta), I had better figure out how to make pickled eggs. I will try to follow up and report!
